FA Cup Second Round Draw

Not the best draw but at least we're at home.

 

It was never going to be a nice easy non league team was it!

 

Pleased we are home. Need a replay victory so I can plan my Yorkshire weekend at the end of the month.

 

Got to happy with that.

Home draw against another league 2 side if we get through.

Would of rather a non league team but hey.

 

Anyone at home is a decent draw for me. Better than somewhere miles away!

Poor draw for the club as I don't think many will attend the reply or Mansfield at home but we do have a good chance of going to the 3rd round.

 

Didn't someone say Shrewsbury have 3 on international call ups, as you say take nothing for granted but International call up, suspensions injuries are all part of the game, we've had our share of injuries were at home we must be favorites.

 

Fancied away trip but maybe Andy will run a bus from Corn Dolly

 

£5 for crumblies, so let's hope for good turnout. Still think the Burton extra time win in league cup was our hardest game before final. Watched by about 3,000 if my memory is correct.

 

I'm only messing of course, as a City fan of 44years i know the replay is not a foregone conclusion and if we do get past the replay then Mansfield too will be up for it with the carrot of a potential lucrative third round match for the victors
I am mystified by your negative view of the FA Cup though Fordy, you sound like an older fan too? Surely you remember some of the great cup exploits of the past, 1976, Liverpool in 1980, The 2013 league cup run, Tottenham, Everton, Chelsea etc.. Some of my best memories are cup related

Good draw. Good incentive to beat Shrewsbury. 2 home wins from a possible money spinning 3rd round tie

 

2 of their CBs from the weekend, Omar Beckles and Aaron Pierre, have been called up by Grenada and midfielder Ollie Norburn has also been called up by Grenada.

 

I like Beckles a typical old center half likes a battle.
