Sorry OGF , but oil is bought and sold on the world market and traded likewise. That’s why the fools saying we would have security of supply if we started drilling again in the North Sea are wrong . It’s no good for refining into petrol and is sold on world trading floors . There are too many misunderstandings of how the system works . Same with gas.

I’ve decided the cheapest option is to swim there. See you all down there, I’m setting off now with my claret and amber flippers, speedos, swimming cap, and waterproof scarf. Byeeeee

We've only been going to grounds not previously visited for a few seasons now.
The price for a nice weekend away is getting a bit silly and that's before games like Reading give you a kicking.
We could drive there and back but where's the fun in that?

The final day kick off at Exeter is at 3.00pm.
I can also see that the wonderful Premiership has four matches scheduled for a 3.00 pm kick off, on the same day.
None of the top teams playing and the only game with any significance on the outcome of their season is Brentford V West Ham. All the others are probably meaningless mid table clashes.
So is there a 3.00pm block on showing the Exeter game on TV?
Surely the EFL and TV channels can see that this is the final weekend of the season for EFL teams.
Many supporters will not be able to get to Exeter ( a long haul, with few tickets, and totally sold out), so why not show it live?
    Any thoughts anyone?

I think the first and last weekends of the EFL season are traditionally exempt from the 3pm blackout. It’s possible I’ve entirely made that up in my head though

From memory, to qualify for the blackout to be applied, there has to be a set percentage (50% or more I think) of matches involving the top two divisions playing during the blackout hours.

By moving all the Championship games to 12:30, the EFL has automatically reduced the number of top two division 3pm matches to below 50%, so the blackout doesn't apply.

One thing I've learnt in life with regards supporting Bradford City always keep your lass sweet, even better if she attends games with you.
We've been twice in the past many moons ago traveling down during Friday night and staying in Torquay after the game at Exeter so not sure what Exeter offers with regards restaurants or pubs.

In the late 2000s I had to travel to Exeter a lot for work. Loved going for a couple of beers after work on the Quay there. A lovely place indeed.

If anyone is looking for tickets for the Exeter match both standing and seating tickets are available on the website.

Opportunistic buyers edging their bets in case it was a must win game and it still might be. Win tonight or Saturday and most won’t travel.

If i had tickets and the game was a dead rubber, which i still feel it wont be, i would still be going for the weekend away and just to enjoy, or not the game.
As it happens, i think the associated costs are now getting to the point where fans will be more selective with our trips down south, or maybe not, if its championship games next year. Finger and everything else crossed we get the points needed before we have to travel down there.

Dead rubber or not it looks like the club have guaranteed the sales to Exeter so we will have to pay them for the tickets no matter what
