You don't sell to a rival.. certainly not one that's top of league and confident you will overtake.

@wetherbywhaler knows this, Rupp knows this and Rhodes will know this. Our club isn't run by mugs!

Swindon had 6 months to do a deal and didn't, so fu&k them!

4 games in Jan now .. let's concentrate on Bradford City and Doyle back is a the correct footballing decision. We would be fools to let Doyle go now and I don't feel we're that foolish.

If I was running Bradford I would be complaining to the FA if Wellens keeps acting like a baby.

 

Maybe Swindon never though he would hit such a phenomenal scoring record (who did) we would be happy to leave him there paying some of his wages, that's not difficult to understand.
Very few players are in a (not for sale category) and certainly not in league 2, so if a team comes offering money for Doyle that we feel would be hard to turn down yes I would expect Julian to make Stefan aware and between him, Bowyer & Stefan they would come to a decision.
That hardly makes Julian a dumb arse or weak as you quote, I have faith in our Interim CEO to do whats best for Bradford City and if he and the owner think it's the correct decision then we have to go with that decision.

 

Yes he has been recalled. Can be for a number of reasons. It does not mean the possibility of him coming back to Swindon is eliminated. It's not hard to grasp.

Mate, he's scored more goals than Messi.

He scored about 15 goals by the end of October.

He's the leading goalscorer in the country and to sell him now to a rival will make this club look extremely stupid. So, I trust our owner and CEO not to make Bradford City Fans look stupid.

However, for me the telling game was against us without him and they were sh&te! Utter sh&te.. if that wasn't a wake up call to get your house in order then I don't know what is.

Fancy Crewe to beat them today and we will overtake them without Doyle.

 

He commands a big wage, and will do next summer.

Fleetwood, Oxford, Ipswich, Sunderland could all afford his salary with relative ease. Not forgetting those who come down.

He will be in demand.

If you read or heard what he said, it was pretty obvious he knew exactly what he was coming back to.

Bowyer, Rhodes and Rupp all knew what was going to happen.

Anyone with any sense can see his form at Swindon wasn't just a miraculous occurrence. His form may have been miraculous, but the fact it worked out there was very much by design.

If he bags more than 5 for us, I'll be impressed. Bowyer replaced Doyle with Donaldson and Vaughan, two strong hosses who don't mind a physical challenge. That decision got us into the top 7.

 

When Donaldson is fit..

It will revert back to Vaughan and Donaldson with Doyle on the bench.

Absolutely pointless bringing him back into our team with a midfield who create nothing.

As said many times, Donaldson is the massive difference in the team and probably what Doyle needs. That said, after witnessing today we desperately need a midfield to seriously step up and support whoever is up top. Bottom line is no striker will score without any service. We are providing ZERO service to our front players and as you say, Doyle definitely knew this before coming back. His goal record this season vs our full team highlights it.
