Stop worrying @Bronco, he is not going back. We brought him back for two reason, we need our striker and secondly to stop Swindon reaping the benefit of an auto place if we can. Yes everyone has a price, but those two reasons have not changed no matter what Wellens and Power say. They had their chance to put a package together but didn’t. I am damn sure Doyle would want a lucrative contract and want more than he is on now, plus probably 3 years. Then we would want at least £200,000 plus an add on fee if they got promoted. However, now we are in January none of that matters, we are not going to be able to get another striker in, so why would leave ourselves short and help Swindon to get promoted?

My worrying days with regards football and Bradford City are long gone just pointing out the different scenario's that could unfold before the January transfer window closes.
I don't think you can say we wouldn't sell, Doyle has 5 months + left on his contract, I do believe given that situation if Power made us a decent offer £150/200,000 the club would take it, Doyle is back but there are no guarantees he will score goals we have 5 games before the end of this window we will see what Eion offers, I'd be delighted for him to continue his scoring feats and help get us up up as Champions.

 

Well you're not taking in to fact that they can't afford Doyle's wages. No point them offering 200k then Doyle a packet of Walkers and a Mars bar which he won't accept.

It's done mate.. move on! Swindon can't afford him and we need him to hopefully help us go up.

 

You're correct I don't take what anyone says seriously with regards Swindon and Lee Power not being able to afford Doyle, it will be done once the transfer window closes.

They are deluded. Doyle can probably command £7-8k this summer if his scoring continues. Lots of L1 clubs with cash to burn will be circling.

 

I cannot think of many, if any, league 1 clubs with money to burn on a 32 year old striker

 

The 3 that come down from the championship could well have a look at him I suppose.
