I think by that he means when they are in place. He’s trying to put to bed the rumours that he signed players without McCall knowing.

Interesting article in a way but doesn’t confirm anything we don’t already know.

It’s a committee with one person missing at the minute. The head coach is the part that’s missing at the minute.


Sure the article will be forensically analysed now once people get wind of it and Edin will have caused world war 3 on here in about an hours time

Probably because they say no thanks before it gets to the offer of a contract. Rahic admits that

 

"Bradford City chairman Edin Rahic has detailed his vision for the club's future and the reasons behind his desire to find a head coach rather than a traditional manager.

He insists this strategy can offset the advantage of wealthier League One rivals while delivering an attractive playing style and refutes the idea it is a ploy to exert more control over team affairs.

'We are looking for a head coach who will build a competitive first team but also have a focus on improving our players,' Rahic told Sportsmail.

fact that we can't compare our budget with the likes of Wigan, Blackburn or Sunderland. We have to work together and find other ways to compete, that's the message.

'Therefore, if we have a head coach who can develop our players, we can increase the value of the squad. This way, we can find our own way of competing against these big budgets.

'We have to bring players through, develop our players in League One and get them ready for the next level.

'We are not looking for a head coach who will promise to get us to the Championship and then have to sign 20 new players, that cannot work.'

Bradford started last season with Stuart McCall in charge but the popular club legend was sacked in February and replaced by Simon Grayson who quit Valley Parade in May.

No successor has been appointed despite approaches for young coaches including Robbie Stockdale, who recently left Sunderland's staff, Ben Garner, formerly at West Bromwich Albion, and Joe Edwards, at Chelsea, and various interviews.

Bradford have also been linked with a move for Paul Heckingbottom, sacked by Yorkshire neighbours Leeds, former Nottingham Forest and Rangers boss Mark Warburton and, most recently, David Hopkin of Livingston.

'When we signed Stuart it was all done in just a couple of days,' said Rahic, co-owner at Valley Parade, along with fellow German Stefan Rupp.

At that time we only spoke to two or three managers maximum.

'As owners, we don't have 20 years' experience in English football, so we felt it was important to speak with several candidates, all with different ideas, to listen to them and explore every avenue.

'When you have a mid to long-term plan in mind you have to speak with several people, and not just once or twice.

'It takes several meetings to have a really good feeling about them, and for them to understand what we're looking for.

'A lot of the candidates we've spoken to are interested in such a mid to long-term plan but also it is understandable that some of the candidates aren't as interested.

'We are clear when we speak with a prospective head coach that he will be judged not only by the results, but by the development of the players and the style of football we play.

'These ideas are probably not usual for League One and therefore some candidates walk away without either of us having had a good feeling.

'In these cases perhaps they decide to say they weren't interested, but I can guarantee that no candidate has turned down a contract offer.'

it's only exactly what he said to Bantams Banter the other week. almost word for word.

and no, it might well be true that no one has turned down a contract offer, but I bet several have said "no thanks" before it got to that stage. thats why we're still no closer to getting anyone, weeks down the line - because no one wants the job.

 

I am sure there was we are not employing a typical manager some won’t be comfortable with that exactly what Edin was saying. On the other hand I bet we have rejected some as well.

 

That's the frustrating thing with this now, they release some information yet fans still don't #believe them.

No win situation.

Yes it's gone on longer than expected but unfortunately that's whats happened.

 

This is it for me now. No trust in the owners. Rahic wanted full control over the playing side of things and has now got it. Parky was right. Stuart did his best but he was forever fighting a losing battle

 

We as fans need to take a stand and get Edin out of our club and get him out now.

The T & A are doing nothing. Simon Parker is doing nothing
