    Did we ruin his career by forcing him into centre midfield? Or was he just not a very good striker? I liked the lad. He's one of those random players that I can never seem to forget.

    I remember him having one outstanding game away at Crewe early on in his career with us and then struggling after that.

    Always seemed to have promise which he never fulfilled. Retired at the age of 27 due to head injury having drifted into football in the USA.

    I remember him being a constant threat against Carlisle in the League Cup, then scored from outside the box when the keeper fumbled it.

    The 250 or so City fans burst into a "Dur-Dur-Dur-Dur.. Eddie Johnson!" chant

    It made me remember Ronnie Wallwork. I’ll add him to the “wrong un’s that have played for us” list (Ronnie not Eddie).
