Although it's made clear in the T&A that the fee is around £500k with add ons, but that the add ons could double that figure are "wide of the mark", so we can at least be clear on that.

You were adamant there weren't any problems between Rahic and McCall, you used to highlight this point regularly.

 

Think about how many times McCall had a low key swipe at the owners to the fans.

If he's got a good relationship with the players why wouldn't he be doing the same behind the scenes? If so it probably didn't assist in creating an harmonious atmosphere.

There are loads of things that could result in a fallout with the owners which wouldn't apply with the players. Who to sign, the level of control Rahic has, a clash of cultures, a flawed model, unrealistic expectations etc etc. Why's he going to fallout with the players?

You asked why McCall's close relationship with the players would have affected the McCall/Rahic dynamic.

We know that McCall would freely have a dig at the owners, even when he was at his most guarded when speaking to the fans.

If he displayed the same attitude - and allowed the same atmosphere of criticism amongst the players - then surely that would have affected his relationship with the owners?

 

Why should who runs the club affect the players?

Do you think that Alex Ferguson didn't moan about JP McManus when the court case was ongoing?

Players care about money and success. Nothing else.

 

I have no idea whether Ferguson did to be honest. How well he could separate his personal and private life is not something I've ever come across.

I suppose they care about money and success in the same way that most other people do. Working in at atmosphere where everybody respects the boss and working in one where there is obvious and open conflict effects players in that they need to "pick a side" in the same way that it would do to other human beings?

It's one thing Rahic keeping McCall on after a few disagreements and it's another thing letting him keep his job after he's manipulated the players into hating him. The thought of Rahic intentionally ruining our chances last season then letting the manager and players walk all over him on top of that is laughable. I'm going to file all of this under unlikely until proven otherwise. These are nothing more than wild assumptions.
