Jordan Gibson has only scored against one club this season. He’s a League 2 winger, winging it in League 1. Why do we allow him to murder us every time?!!!

Those 4 mistakes in the first half don't count and definitely don't mean he was just as poor in the second half.

Speaking seriously though, he's the worst captain since Zesh Rehman and everyone on here that champions him as a great squad player is absolutely clueless to a man.

That defeat isn't down to him alone but playing with 10 men is always tougher as the results with Byrne starting prove.

 

Alexander was angry on the City players standing off the Donny players in the second half. I noticed it straight after the restart with Richards and Touray standing off a very dangerous player in Molyneux.

 

McIntyre had to shoulder the blame. Caught in no mans land and completely give up.

I honestly aren't seeing what some do on here. Yes he can pass a ball but he's alarmingly similar to Jason Gavin.

Well we have 3 problems to summarise our downward spiral

1) GA has his favourites

2) GA’s favourites happen to all be of League Two standard

3) Some of these League Two standard players are being deployed out of position (ie Leigh, Kav)

Dont think it takes a genius to figure out that the moment the likes of Bryne, Kelly and Kav came back into the team, we went to shit

 

And that tactical change (Leigh for Metcalfe) was bizarre and made zero sense.

 

Alexander has worked a minor miracle so far, getting in what in my opinion is a pretty average league 1 playing squad to second in the table and a league cup run of sorts. Take the high press and key players out of our game and we get second halves like last night, the poor run in one sense is a blessing in disguise as it brings a bit more perspective of how far we've come in a short space of time. Clearly there are some players not suited to league one level, we have a decent starting eleven when all available that needs adding to in January, hopefully we are still around the top six at that time.

 

Alexander in a foul mood after that second half. This is exactly what i want from our manager, he knows what we do well and expects nothing less than 100%. His assessment is bang on the money,

 

He's right but we are fast heading towards the realisation that we simply can't rotate players. We quickly need to establish our best XI and stick with it. That's his most pressing matter.

That needs a fit Pointon, Sarcevic, Baldwin, Tilt and a decision as to our leading CF.

Fortunately looks as though Pointon is back and Sarce recovery is looking positive. For Bolton I won’t be surprised to see Swan for the press, but I’d be equally happy to see Humphrys as the lead up top.

I really don’t know what happened in the second half. I think GA assessment is spot on. We had them slam dunk all of the first half. Second half we collectively decide to stand off!!!

 

I think he will know that he’s not stupid; he will be having a meeting with the board about January I suspect. Positive side is he watched it from the stands last night so got a good live aerial view of our frailties.

 

Just seen the highlights - he could maybe have done better but it was 50/50. Can't see how Kelly is to blame for that goal
