Digital Advertising at VP (Now with Poll)

Didn’t know we had new boards at that end. Let’s hope they’re not as bright when the dark nights set in.

 

Thankfully they removed the board right behind the goal at the Bradford End last night. Think there were quite a few complaints after Burnley game. Glad the club responded so quickly this season. Assuming it’s gone for good!

 

With the remaining boards at the Bradford End, I also wondered whether they'd deployed some kind of dark mode to help reduce glare. (I presume they still have them along the Main Stand - I couldn't tell as that's where I sit.)

 

The boards were noticeably dimmer on Tuesday I noticed. At last they’ve listened!

 

There’s a pic on X from the Burnley game and the centre board wasn’t there then, but at least the others either side of the goal are much less bright now thankfully!

 

The biggest issue is when there’s a white background to an ad, which glares so much it’s virtually impossible to see what’s happening in the penalty box. Maybe they should just exclude all ads with white backgrounds.

 

Yes, it was a lot better on Tuesday, notably dimmer.

Make them brighter, so we can’t see the awful football

 

The boards are too bright and the fact our floodlights are n’t bright enough probably enhances it. Reminds me when I had a security light changed from the max halogen light to the max LED light I could find. The lack of brightness is astonishing. I feel VP’s floodlights are the same. It’s like watching TV with the contrast way down. Night games should be a visual spectacle but they are dull no matter how well or dull we play.

I had a very good response from the club when I contacted them. They are taking this seriously.
