Why would a fan of 3 years support want our chairman to run the club into the ground? Doesn't make sense for either the fan or the chairman.

Rahic and Rupp have put money in - of course they care if they run it into the ground. Bradford operate within their means

The above reply, minus the last two words would have been adequate. If the poster annoys you so much put them on ignore!

Not sure I was being ‘critical of that regime’? I simply made the comment that Dieng along with four others had been offered a new Contract, so the current regime felt he was worthy of a place in the squad.

i agree they want to turn it into a big club on a shoe string then sell suits me look at Leeds 1960 then 1971 or Liverpool 63 then 1974 darby 66 then 73 or forest 1974 then 1980 all on very little money and reinvestment

Can’t believe the loss of Dieng, who was a bit part player last season and whose performances were widely criticised on occasions, has caused such a stir. I would imagine he was viewed as a squad player and offered a contract that reflected this. Maybe he decided he could do better elsewhere and left.

That must happen at every club across the country and will have happened at our club every season under every regime. People acting like this is a sign of the chairmen being cheap and running the club into the ground just seems petty and desperate.

i'm missing a trick here, where has his departure caused such a stir? Nearly all the opinion i've seen is that is the right decision regarding a player who often flattered to deceive.

A pointless post. Simple objective to wind up a poster, because they have no real answer.

If it wasn't you'd realise, I'd had little time for Dieng, since that Sheffield Utd fiasco in April of last year.

However, he had appeared to have improved - but then just as we started relying on him, the old mental / lack of application issue re-surfaced. He's typical of numerous stylish French players from any of their sports from the past 10 years, i.e. Jo Wilfred Tsonga - all the talent in the world, with poor application = underachievement and letting down their fans. Now for Tsonga he only affects himself, but I would be very worried if we were relying on Dieng to be the mainstay of the midfield because his often dopey play affect us

No he’s just typical of an inconsistent L1 player. The league is littered with them. In fact, I can name two more very easily; Law and Vincelot

Don't blame Dieng for the "Sheffield Utd" fiasco, that was all down to McCall pure and simple. I agree he wasn't worth keeping though the club thought so having offered him a contract. I would like to see us replace him with bit of quality, a player that can run the midfield.

In the squad though. That doesn't mean that you are bothered about negotiating with them, if for you don't think they are important members of the first team / or are worth investing because we could eventually sell him and make some money

The fact that they are offered contracts and turn them down, usually means they have inflated ideas of what they are worth and as they think they can get more elsewhere. Unless they've been great players of obvious first team quality, then I question their judgment. Or can they think of many other sides who will offer them the chance to play in front of £14K? If that doesn't float their boat than what does? Money only? Good look to anyone who changes career regular for a few extra quid

I am sorry that they didn't make more of an effort with Doyle, but again maybe they though the offer was fair

And I'd have no issue Vincelot leaving, although both them contributed far more than Dieng in their two years

Was a bit harsh actually :) I remember just been so frustrated with that first 30 minute performance, which ended any hopes of automatic

This thread is 12 pages long and is filled with people slagging off the owners and the “shoestring budget” etc. Not the first thread to have these comments but logic assumes that Dieng leaving has fanned the flames of those that wish to slag off the owners at any chance.

McCalls achilles heel, worrys far too much about the opposition. Remember his comments about Plymouth and their defenders heading ability, they were bottom of the table at the time. After we've just signed a decent keeper, i'm hoping for a decent central midfielder now.

Haven’t got a scoobie what you’re on about.

You called him a ‘plodder’ which indicates he isn’t great and easily replaceable, yet the ‘not to be criticised’ Edin offered him a new deal.

Why did he offer him a new deal if the never wrong @Sergio Pinto III@Sergio Pinto III thinks we can do much better???!

Must try harder? You make it sound like a competition....!

    Good point.

Over the last few years we've had our fair share of players leaving and then having a successful season elsewhere.

We don't want to carry dead wood but equally we don't want to write players off too prematurely.

Simply not good enough for me, I know we lack numbers in midfield but that shouldnt mean we keep players not up to it.
