    Had the pleasure of chatting to him up at park avenue cc true gentleman ,not only a cricket legend but a true and proud Yorkshire man. RIP DICKIE

    I got his autograph a couple of times in the 80s at Headingley. Remember him wanting to know if I was a batter or bowler.

    I have an autograph book from when I was a kid in the 70s and we waited on the steps outside the players bar at park avenue, got most of the Yorkshire players to sign including dickie, ray illingworth, chris old et al but boycott would not entertain us. Also got the City players of the time and the whole Newcastle squad who we played in a friendly probably just after they signed Graham oates
