A real chance to pull clear and build a gap between the top 2 and play off places.
Stevenage have Cardiff (H) and Stockport (A) up next.
They might have a few games in hand but we could be 9 points ahead of them come Christmas week.
A lot of the top 10 playing eachother as well.
We play only one of the current top 12 all the way through to the huge test we face at the end of January into February.
    Cannot wait.

I reckon we’ll get 14 points from the 5 remaining December games

The most remarkable feature of our current situation is the fact that our remaining games before return fixtures are against struggling sides. We aren't playing well and haven't really played well for 10 games now yet we've played all the good sides in the division. If we can get 7 points in December, we'll be in a very strong position. 10 wins from new year till the end of the season is not a huge ask but it'll see us in the play offs.

6 or 7 points out of 15.... and we'll probably be top because this arse standard league has zero form this season.

Tables irrelevant really for me until mid Feb, see who spends and who sticks and then it's more fun to look at it.

I do think this period until the Rotherham game will determine what we can really hope for in the last half of the season. If we get a good points total and still in and around the top 2 then there's no reason why we can't be targeting at least a play off place, if we are below that then it probably means a top half finish. These next 7 games are probably where we have to make our move and get the points on the board ahead of a tough end to January and February.

Looking at other fixtures Stevenage have a very tough run with a double against Cardiff as well as games against Burton, Wimbledon, Stockport and Luton.

Cardiff have the double with Stevenage as well as a trip to Lincoln. They also have a EFL Cup quarter final against Chelsea.

Lincoln have a tough double against Barnsley as well as games against Stockport and Cardiff.

Travel problems for the Cardiff fans with the Severn Bridge closed for a lot of today and huge tailbacks on the M4. Some of their fans set off at 1:30 and didn't get to Stevenage until after 7:30.

Wimbledon lost again tonight, I only saw the 2nd half but they looked poor and they have really collapsed with a run of no wins from 7. Before this run started 2 months ago they were level on points with us and now we are 10 points ahead with playing 7 games
Got to give Kevin Nolan at Northampton a lot of credit, a lot people had them down for relegation yet he's got them up to 10th and 5 points from the play offs.

I had a feeling Wimbledon were overacheiving a bit but even still did not expect this catastrophic run of form; they could be in a relegation fight if don't get things sorted where not too long ago they were a surprise promotion candidate in some corners.

Ends up a draw but good for us nonetheless.
