He’s obviously never seen Curtis Tilt!

 

A claim on Facebook that Curtis Tilt has joined Burton.

 

Yeah saw that. It wouldnt surprise me if he does leave this summer, whether Burton or elsewhere.

Not surprised to see Tilt go, he looked leggy toward the end of last season. I thought he looked rough and the start for us then after his injury he looked top notch for a while, but tailed off for the last month maybe two.

 

Not saying tilt is a massive loss but we didn’t need wholesale changes just needed a little extra quality to add to it.

 

Tilt confirmed, we got a fee for him.

 

He will do a great job for them . Good luck to the lad. Probably linked to Beesley deal as he is/was still under contract.

 

Bit of a cult hero from last season, but if we're being honest, he needs replacing if we want to compete again at this level. He frightened the life out of me everytime he was on the ball.

Tilt is a good leader and helped steady the ship with his calmness for the first season back in L1, but let's be honest, he's L2 at best

 

He'd have been a bit part player at best next season. Frees up his wages plus if we got 50k, it means we can offer an upgrade an extra grand a week. Good bit of business (if we bring in better).

 

Thats a disservice to Curtis, he made 35 appearances for us and we finished 4th in league 1, how is he L2 at best? Yes he had some off games but was a very good signing for us, don't get me wrong getting a fee for him at his age is good business but by no means is he L2 at best.

 

Good move for everyone, he did a good job last season but we can upgrade on him. He gets a 2 year deal and Burton get a solid defender with experience.

With Power and Tilt going our yellow card count will go from one of the highest to lowest in the league.
