Forgot about that. Fantastic day. Just need City to win a few games and it'll have been a good year.

I can only think he doesn't watch much cricket, so I'll let him off.

Wow need a few beers and a cold shower to cool off after an extraordinary couple of hours cricket since coming home from VP!

Cricket at its very best, and hats off to NZ for making a good game of it, and very gracious in defeat, when they must have been heartbroken, especially with the throw that hit Stokes bat and diverted for 4 extra runs

I shouldn’t say this but f football at the moment. We won the cricket World Cup. Fair play to Williamson he showed dignity and class in his interview especially about the Stokes incident. Yorkshire must have rubbed off on him

Trent Boult, just how did he step onto the boundary rope, to not catch out Ben Stokes? Wow.

Watched every ball. The absolute drama was superb.

Huge credit to the kiwis. Incredible sportsmanship.

Now I've had time to reflect, bring on the Ashes.

And Jofra sir. My England man of the series.

I'm off the belief I have never seen a first class game, with such drama, not taking into account the magnitude of the game.

@Idlebantam@Idlebantam, I'll be a happy man if observe drama like that again in my life time.

The best day of sport in my lifetime.

I gave the City v Liverpool game a miss and instead watched a mixture of the British GP, the Wimbledon final and the greatest game of cricket ever.

I find cricket boring, very dull usually, but thought I should watch given it was such a big game. What a game it was, the swing of emotions, brilliant.

Echo all the sentiments on here.

    What a game!

How many incidents that rarely happen all happened in the few final overs?

That catch that was a 6 and then the fielder throwing the ball to get Stokes out only to hit his bat and go for a 4!!

Will live long in the memory and I feel quite privileged to have watched it unfold live. On the TV of course.
