The majority of children cope well with school however there will always be some that can't, won't, and shouldn't have to suffer. Education authorities need to make appropriate adjustments for these children. Every child is entitled to a full time education and if the school or local authority can't provide it in a school setting they have to provide something elsewhere. It's the law.

Too many kids out there are doing a reduced timetable and letting authorities and schools off the hook with 'home learning' and 'mental health time' which is essentially an exclusion. Makes me very cross.

It was put to me that she is having negative feelings about school.
They feel that by reducing lessons she will manage to get work completed, and start to have more positive feelings going to school.

 

Would this be going down the SEN route?
