Also getting a curry tonight.

There's a flu outbreak in my mum's care home, so no visits for now. Not great as it would have been my dad's birthday on Monday and not looking as though I can see my mum.

 

Good question here... how far away would someone have to be to detect us with the same technology we have on earth now?

The answer is 10,000 light years.

That would mean a radio signal today would take 10,000 years to get to the other planet. So, feasibly, it could be an ice age on the other planet when the signal leaves today and it would arrive to find a civilisation like ours.
