I hoped Hopkin could maybe have galvanised us with more effect, but tbh i think blaming him totally is ignoring the bigger picture. Totally rotten and toxic our club feels right now, and has been since earlier in the year, i don't see anyone changing our fortunes tbh. Things feel that low and entrenched.

 

Ah, what about Dynamo, now he is a magician, used to selling out stadia.....Don't need a miracle overnight but just the next couple of months...

Today's result is awful on the surface.

But consider all four goals were conceded in 45 minutes of play, with a penalty saved to boot, and Jesus Christ that's bad.

I feel like some teams are showing signs of improvement (see: Plymouth), but we're still showing glimpses - unable to string 90 minutes together.

It's been conjectured that these players aren't that bad, and haven't been as woeful as this in the past, therefore making them better signings than we're seeing - but I don't suspect many of them were leaders, or were fighting tooth-and-nail for every single point. It's one thing to play in a good side, in the Championship for example, but that doesn't mean you have resilience or backbone.

For me, the signing that most exemplifies our inability to sign a proper, competitive 'team' is Akpan. He is a serial relegatee, and we're expecting him to look a lot better because he has experience in a higher division?

He has experience FAILING in a higher division, and is set to be relegated for the third successive season.

Meanwhile, our best player is probably Jack Payne - a player lauded for his performances at Blackburn, yet he played the majority of games as a sub. Blackburn's sub, our best player... Hmmm...

Both stories speak volumes.

 

Without reading the whole thread how can hopkin be classed worse than Collins he has got the same players. Hopkin would probably have 1signing of what Collins had o'donnell the rest which I know Edin chose but Collins probley agreed to are absolute shite
I feel for hopkin because come January it will be all too late

 

Just watched their goals. Pathetic defending and only our keeper seems to give a toss.

I don't even think, the keeps aside, you can even say they are side of individuals. Certainly not a team either. Bloody brilliant isn't it?

 

Imagine playing Lincoln....oh no...they'll be in League 1....

 

I imagine Collins had something to do with Colville, Scannell and Payne, but I can't say for sure.

His links with Hudders are clear, at least.

Hopkin needs to walk! I don't want to see him fronting this any longer. Abbott deserves all that's coming to him for his part in this major footballing screw up and he must be left to face the bloody musiic!

Hopkin is failing. He isn’t even trying to be difficult to beat a few 0-0 would be progress. All teams and I mean all teams even the worst produce a few better displays with a new coach.
