Poor game but we have Andy Cook thankfully. Colchester could well be up for the worst atmosphere in England award, I’ve never heard it be anything other than flat.

 

I think he got some of the ball. But certainly seen them given.

The officials are getting quite a few decisions wrong.

I thought that last minute melee was a nailed on pen but Smallwood did get the ball on the replay .

The ref didn’t give it because their c/forward Taylor has spent the half being a tosser and his hands spread wide whinging and whining . He didn’t get the benefit of the doubt because of it imho.


Our weakness is midfield or lack of!

 

You watch a game like this and it's pretty different to the last couple of games in terms of a pattern of play but we still create very few chances and our passing is poor. So, is this how we should be playing or are we having a poor match. It's so hard to tell as I can't really remember when we played well.

Either way, it's two pretty average league two teams. I can see Byrne giving away a goal. He seems a poor defender to me. Taylor or Payne will get the better of him at one point you'd think.

I’m still adamant if I got fit I could play at this level. What a shower of shit both these teams are.

That would be deemed a great tackle in my playing days, but you rarely get away with doing that now.

 

Would still like to us us having more attempts at goal, not much in the way of shots at goal either inside or outside of the box. Still we're one up so what the hell do I know!!

 

In the modern game, even getting the slightest flick on the ball doesn't really mean it's not a pen. Especially if you have to clear out the attack to do so. I reckon VAR gives it as a pen.

 

Terrible free kick. What a waste.

We should be pushing for an early goal here and closing this game out.
