City vs Farsley - Match cancelled

I've been also. Travelled down from Croatia, Montenegro and then Albania. The price of the beer dropped in each country. Think we paid 1€ for a beer in Tirana. The thing I liked the most, is that it reminded me when I was in Corfu (I think) when I was a kid with my parents. I remember my old man pointing at Albania in the distance and saying that no-one is allowed to visit that place. Was lovely to have a beer (and a kebab) and remember that time, and happy things had changed. Heard they had it pretty bad - but as you say, were lovely friendly people, and all up for a chat and proud of their country (despite the troubles).

 

We stayed a few nights in Saranda where you can see Corfu really close up. Some fantastic Roman ruins at Butrint - hardly a soul there. Wonder if there are any good Albanian players we could recruit. Work permit could be a problem?

 

I’m sure Edin Rahic considers himself German just like the tens of thousands of Pakistani’s in bradford consider themselves English.

Without disclosing my nationality, I and many of my family and friends were born here however we all consider ourselves the nationality our parents/ancestors were from, even despite our passports stating we are UK citizens.

It’s just the way it is.

For the record, Edin Rahic is a Bosnian Muslim, not a Bosnian serb. Bosnia is split into 2 parts, one part (the majority) are Bosnian Muslims with the other part Bosnian Serbs (part of bosnia is called Republic of Serbia) who consider themselves Serbian despite being born in and living in Bosnia.

Might be reading this wrong but doesn't your second paragraph contradict your first?
