Donaldson and Novak to old and to,slow. Guthrie poor. We have no speed up front and no speed in the last third. Squad not good enough end of and having read Mr Rhodes words last week promotion doesn’t seem to be high on the agenda this season In these times maybe that’s correct I’m not sure but less hope we can stay up

 

I think we should have merited winning it, but I'm not sure we ACTUALLY merited winning it.

We could wring our hands over the shocking decision not to red card their lad, but even then we were leaving it a little late.

Also, Wood got wiped out but I'm almost surprised we got the penalty for that given he'd already put his header wide. Right decision, though.

Totally agree with McCall. We had by far the better chances. How many saves did O’Donnell have to make?

 

Typical SM substitution, Guthrie for Donaldson, like for bloody like.
He is too tactically nieve to be able to change our style of play.

 

A draw was a fair result. We did have chances but on balance didn't really have enough of a grip of the game to say we deserve to win. Neither keeper had much to do.

 

Yeah I’d agree. We had lots of 6s and 7s out of 10. Not much in it, but if either side deserved the win it was us. Again though, the frustration is that 2 decent attacking players centrally and out wide would make a huge difference.

Individually, Donaldson and Novak are decent enough target men. They’ll hold the ball, link play and chip in with 10-15 goals. But together, they’re too similar as a pair to really work. Guthrie simply isn’t good enough and we need to see more of Samuels, but I’d have to think that McCall believes he’s not ready to feature regularly- which makes me question why we signed him. Or rather, why we didn’t add more.

 

Their keeper had little to do bar the Donaldson shot. We do create 3 or 4 decent chances per game, Novak gets at least one guilt edged chance every game but you have to work the keeper.

To be perfectly honest, and I know it's cool to say Harrogate were ace and played off the park or whatever, but it seemed like a rinse-and-repeat with very few GOOD chances for either team, and for a long time looked like we'd lose 1-0 again.

Because he knows he should have got rid when he had his chance but obviously doesn't want to admit he got it wrong. Ego dent.

 

Radio Leeds guys both thought O'Donnell was at fault for there goal, a bit harsh for me, good strike but no one closed Nurse down, do we learn obviously not, having said that they both thought Roberts had made a wonder save when it hit one of their defenders.

That's very harsh on ROD from the angle we can see from. Was a great strike but the TV angle we have is shite with no decent replays.

 

Zero pace and trickery on the wings, I’ve genuinely never seen DMH have an average game never mind a decent one, let’s dispel this myth he’s quick, he’s garbage. Also a bit of pace upfront, crying out for a Hiwula type up front. Can’t see how McCall can’t see that. That could literally be the difference between 15th and 3rd in this god awful league.

 

I bet Kiwomya would have saved it. Can't they just admit sometimes a lad hits a screamer that you cant do anything about? To liken it to Donaldsons effort was unfair and actually wrong.
