Absolutely - when you’re up against a 10 man side you need to move the ball quickly and stretch the opposition and the gaps will then start to show.
We just kept letting them regroup every time.

Prior to the match I'd thought that Donny would be one of the stronger teams this season but after that showing I'd be hugely concerned if I was a Rovers fan. I can understand the approach of defending deep and staying in the game while hoping that you'll get the chance to nick a goal on a break or a late opportunity but at the point where you've stayed in the game for 90+ minutes to then choose to run the clock down from 2 consecutive attacking corners just defies logic.

HaHa sorry I meant the fact they were time wasting so early in the first game of the season. I just don’t get it ? Embarrassing if anything.

We had width but our full backs were shite.

Devastated for the lad who will probably miss the rest of the season. Diamond a must for his replacement. Cook as a starter because Angol looked off form and Oliver looked like a donkey up front. A terrible partnership. Shame about Harratt he looked a prospect with Cook

Yes I think Harratt will be a big asset to us this season. He’ll be suspended for 3 games but one of those will be the league cup game against Hull.

Oliver looked like a donkey. If you think that it makes you like a bit of an ass

The player who slowed down at the most was definitely Smallwood.

    Ten touches per pass lol

We could all see we needed to move ball quicker , but possession is a thing hughes has said he wants more of this season , what was dissapionting was when chapman came on he kept cutting back and crossing from deep , why with 10 men didn’t he stay wide and try to get to byline , hope that’s not a sign of things to come from him , still wanting somebody with real pace to come on and just push it passed defenders and into dangerous areas

Chapman looked nothing like he did in preseason, have to assume he is not a winger as the wider he got, the worse he got

Yeah he's not your out and out winger type player, more comfortable coming inside.

From the limited amount of him I've seen, he'd be better competing with Walker or opposite an out and out winger.

His shooting is good, his crossing is poor.

If you think so Park. But he was picked as our main goal threat and had no pace and what he won in the air went to no one. He and Angol were toothless and had we changed it earlier would have won. Have no doubt MH will have taken notice to be an ass as well according to you

Nice too see rupp in attendance yesterday . He looked really pleased and happy with Ryan as the teams entered the pitch for kick off . 5 minutes later they looked extremely pissed off at the challenge that has ended one of our new signings season . Enjoyed the day, good too see the boozers on NP packed and also the city vaults . Thought we played alright . Hopefully we can step it up abit more . Valley parade is a brilliant place to watch football when we get them sort of crowds

Watch the ladies game. The ball rarely goes over head height and certainly doesn’t get punted 100 metres in the air from the keeper.
