    As expected due to the increase in the amount of Premier League sides in Europe the EFL have had to introduce a Preliminary round for this years competition to rebalance the draw. The decision for the Preliminary round fixtures have been made easy for the EFL with the top coming up being Oldham & Barnet and the 2 lowest league 2 sides from last season being Accrington & Newport and so you've got 2 North and 2 South plus if you put the 4 into a table and played like the play offs it would be Accrington vs Oldham and Newport vs Barnet.
    It's the first time since the 2011/12 season that a Preliminary round is needed but with the Conference League and extra Champions League place I would expect this to be more common it is just a question of how many games are needed.

    1st round draw will be 4:30pm on 26th June. If the EFL split the North/South 50/50 for the round this is my guess at teams in the North section.

    There's not many stand out draws at this stage, for me I just want a winnable home draw and get to the 2nd round where we'd have a chance of a money spinning tie against Leeds, Man Utd or Everton.

    If the price is right on this one I can see us taking a fair few. We took about 1,200 to Accrington at the same stage a few years ago and this is a far more high profile game with a stadium we have only played at twice in 35 years, so a fair few will want to tick it off if they haven't when we went there about 7 years back when our season ran out of steam long before we played them and then it got shifted to a Thursday.

    Trains are good too, with trains back to Bradford being after 10.30pm

    Runners up not bad, those home and away defeats to relegated Town cost us dearly though

    Same season - beat Hull, hopes are up a bit then knocked out by Blackburn in 2nd round.
