That was men against boys, so can't read too much into it. My two mates picked out Pattinson and Osudabe as stand outs in the first half.

I thought the young lad from Brentford looked decent.

Yes mate there were a few spare seats I'm sure it wouldn't have been a problem getting a lift back home, as you say it just spoilt itself at the wrong time we only had a relatively short walk to the bus but got a soaking.

It’s a poor reflection on some of our “fans” that you have to thank the ones that turned up for behaving. Anyway, as someone who has been to Gigg Lane loads of times, it was great to get the chance to watch it on YouTube over here. Like you say, it was really a men against boys thing but at least we can say that Hughes respected the occasion and sent a strong squad. The result on the field is pretty much irrelevant, off the field I hope your lot did better than expected. Oh, and for some reason, the 1st kit I ever got one Christmas was Bury, especially remember the single white stripe round the top of the socks back in the late 60’s.
