I agree, his inclusion did help the way we played but not a motm display. More of a nuisance value than anything else.

Jeez. Ridiculous statement. Yes, he's clumsy and sometimes mistimes his jumps. But did you miss the the headers he won today, including the two that lead to a goal and a wrongly disallowed goal?
He won more challenges today than Doyle and Miller have won between them all season. Have you missed how CBs have been putting our midfield straight back under pressure from our clearances because they've had no one challenging them for headers? That happened far less today.
He's a long way from being Bobby Campbell, Lee Mills or even James Hanson at his peak. But he did a bloody good job for us today. Unless & until we can get a decent CF in in January he's the best target man weve got, so we need to support and encourage him to keep repeating todays performance, not criticise him when he plays well.

Such an important win and well done to all the team - and we are certainly due a bit of luck with these bloody offside decisions going against us! Was it the ref who was diabolical at Wimbledon a few years back? (to the degree of almost being crooked that day)

What impressed me more wasn't the fans applauding him off but his team mates giving him praise, today he was appreciated and he can build on this performance and i'd guess the team are happy to have him.

I can’t believe I’ve read this. Of all the positives I could pick, this couldn’t be further from my interpretation.
Miles away from all headers until a couple in the second half, Lucky not to get a red card for a two footed lunge (off the ground)in the first half, other petty fouls throughout, playing wide men in then ambling around not making a move or run toward the box.
Granted he grafts, and shows his passion, but he’s hands down the worst player I’ve seen pull on the shirt!

 

His substitution was classic.

 

From what I watched of the Barnsley game, we looked more of a threat than we did at Aldershot the Saturday before.

Perhaps a bad comparison due to the pitch at Shots, but either way there seems a coincidence that when he plays, we offer more going forward.

Can’t comment on today’s performance, but as @Offcomedun says, until we have someone else of the same ilk through the door, can anyone argue that he doesn’t deserve to start? I’m definitely not saying he’s a world beater, but he also started at Wimbledon and put himself about. At this stage, he’s the best we’ve got an ironically seems to make a difference when he plays.

I don’t see a better replacement and like his desire. For me, until January comes he’s earned his shirt.

 

Kai has done ok most times he starts a match and the records show we do better when he is in.
