Not that easy, but by no means impossible. However as I referenced earlier in the thread there is a "shareholders agreement" which no one appears to have details of.
Maybe Rupp could offer him a figure which is acceptable and buy him out, but if he doesn't want to sell ......
It's possible that Rahic retains his percentage in the hope that BCAFC turns a profit.

now i don't know katie and i don't know if she reads these boards or contributes under a pseudonym, but if anyone does could they please ask her why there is no balance when she writes about the transfer committee and signings. we've discussed the committee and who was and wasn't responsible for signings over and over again but one thing i picked up on in the article is that she states:

“rahic made public his desire to influence player recruitment, and often the full extent of mccall’s assessment of signings went: “I don’t know much about him.”

what she fails to mention which would put more weight and balance to the piece is that, if my memory serves me correctly, as mentioned by mccall in the 'matter of heart' dvd he had only watched charlie wyke on dvd or words to that effect - but arguably charlie wyke was our best signing in the current owners period, and was a massive success.

yet the players mccall brought in due to working with them previously; mark mcnulty and harris vuckic, along with knowing ryan mcgowan through his time in scotland have arguably been some of the poorer signings. especially mcnulty and vuckic.

there have been plenty of other good and bad signings by either the manager or the committee and these have been discussed a plenty over the last 12-18 months. this is why there needs to be collective responsibility discussed when in comes to players in and out over the last two and bit years.

I'd say that's cheap compared with what revenue Stefan could lose leaving here longer not forgetting the toxic atmosphere at the club from the overwhelming majority of Bradford City fans ?.

Well, what do we think he's on? Let's say for arguments sake £120k and probably 6 month notice period so paying off his notice alone would be £60k. Now, you'd have to pay over that of you want someone to leave so let's say at least £75k but then someone you want to leave but when they don't want go usually means playing over the odds so perhaps £90k.

Don't quote me on numbers here. I'm making them up and doing some calcs based on experience but of he were on £150k (which is not beyond the realms of possibility taking into account benefits such as a car, medical, education for his kids etc then we'd be looking at at least £100k.

I'm sure there are plenty of people associated with Bradford City over the "Edin era" who would like to see a bit of balance.

I don't understand this section of your post.

Are you saying Katie should have said that, under Rahic, we actually made a single particularly good signing?

    What would that do?

Take the focus off him because he's done great while he has been here. We'll be fine.

It is all just guesswork by everyone but would be surprised if he wanted less than 2 years salary and benefits for him and his wife and a relocation package

We had a whip round for the fly bye, what about another to help Stefan who must be struggling only having a personal wealth of £100m and get this man out of our club once and for all.

no, what i am saying is that a balanced piece does more for journalistic credibility than ignoring the facts.

    she could have written something along the lines of;

“it was well documented that there was a transfer committee under edin rahic’s stewardship which included rahic himself, head of recruitment greg abbott and head coach stuart mccall. mccall was understood to have not known much about some signings that were brought into the club over his 18 month period. mccall himself stated that he’d only seen arguably the best signing of the committee, charlie wyke, on dvd prior to his arrival at valley parade. but for charlie wyke, there were mark mcnulty and haris vuckic who mccall had worked with previously who were arguably two of the worst signings.”

rather than giving the impression that mccall had nothing to do with any of the players that arrived at the club during that period. like i said, collective responsibility.

Which means he doesn't need to buy out Edin, he can afford to sit back and wait for Edin to get desperate

Agree I'm suggesting the figures for paying Edin off would not break the bank, in fact in the long run it could save Stefan money if he's still around like a bad smell when season ticket renewals start next season, IMO he has to be long gone or it will cost Stefan.

And make a bad situation even worse, he's brave man playing that game, we are already in enough trouble on the pitch what's the point of keeping him here, bite the bullet pay him off and keep Julian in his role until the new investor joins and then sort the CEO/CCO out and run the club professionally.

Thing is Dave, would you rather he bunged a mill to Edin to go, or use the cash in the January window?

I the above article it says :
In a public statement last month, he emphasised that Hopkin was the man “to take the club forward in the long term”.

Rupp said: “If our position does not improve then David will be backed in January and there will be money to spend. He will get complete support in terms of the players he wishes to bring to the club.”

I hope this is not a similar statement they both put out last year with regards supporting McCall financially if we were there or there about's in January.........................that went well !!.

Edin a £1m I doubt very much that would be the amount Stefan would have to pay to get rid, but as I say that would be Stefans call for the reasons I've given above.
You've read comments on here from die hard fans who will not put another penny into the club whilst Edin is still here, we are around 4,000 down on the previous seasons ticket sales, time for Stefan to step up to the plate and make the decision he believes will be the correct one going forward for our club.

But as I said, Edin might need or feel he wants a mill for his shares.

What he wants and what he gets are two different things, but as I say that's Stefan's decision for the reasons I posted, it will cost to get the man out of our club, and IMO we can't move forward as long as he's here.
