We've had one decent season under Hughes, which we got 1 point from our first 3 matches and looked poor.
Ended up just outside the top 3.
My memory is still good enough to remember 1994 when under Lawrence we steam rolled out way to top of the table scoring was it 11 goals in the first 3 matches?
That season we finished 14th was it?

This formation doesn’t work. Sarcevic and Pattison are completely ineffective and being hung out to dry. We looked more dangerous when Pointon , Sanderson and Oduor came on and I think they must be pushing for a start. Byrne scares me to death and is lucky to have got away with a few today. Overall nothing has changed from last season. 3 shots on target in the first game of the season is not what we were being fed this week. Bromley will be no mugs and will relish having a go next week.

 

The subs certainly injected some life into a droll game.
Shame the goal didn't count today but like the bullet headed goal we scored at Grimsby our luck with the officials decision's are already a big talking point not the football after the three games played in the league and cup.
One player who impressed in his cameo appearance was Sanderson looks to have something about him.Good use of the ball and positioning astute.

Walker I think has his injuries catching up with him. Oduor flatters to deceive. Bobby should be out there playing or sold for a decent sum with add ons. The current starting eleven is possibly the most drab I’ve seen (after three games this season) in a long while.

It’s all too pedestrian until he comes on. I think the formation is too rigid and we need to have a Bobby, Oduor, Walker or Sarcevic given a free role and giving the opposition something to think about.

I agree although I'm not sure Alexander would, he is far too adventurous with regards his game never looking for a square ball or a backward pass, I love his enthusiasm.
