I thought they had substantially improved draining over the last five seasons? I don’t recall when we last had a waterlogged pitch? You?

I fully expect the sprinklers to be going at VP until just before kick off.
Cue several City players slipping as usual.

It’s a good forecast for Saturday and the drains were sorted in the summer of 2018 by a company from Harrogate.

Barnsley cup game, a few seasons ago. We got absolutely drenched walking from the car to the stadium, spent 10 mins under the hand dryer in the main stand loo, only to hear the tannoy announce that the ref had called off the game 5 mins from KO. Fuming

It’s a morgue because the football is shit at home.
The away atmosphere is awesome. You should try it

Just looked, it was 6th October 2015, JPT match. Blimey, didn’t think it was so long ago! My lad was a little boy still, now practically a man

club now saying over 18000 expected, which is bloody great if the cobblers have only sold approx 500.
Just need the players to do the business now, although i will take a scrappy 1 - 0 right now.

Remember it well. Was a jackmeoff cup match. We got to the front of the queue and luckily didn't get in.

A night game if I remember correctly, sat in the main stand watching it cascading from the roof like a water fall as the gutters on the roof could not cope with the downpour of rain.

The rain was so bad we drove from Haighies, and as the crowd was so small got parked on Burlington Road about two minutes before 'kick off'. Still nearly drowned.

That's not how it should work.

Palace is always bouncing, and they're no world beaters.

You don't have to have a team of world beaters to cheer them from the stands.

Think it's a bit easier to get up for it when Liverpool and Man Utd come to town though rather than Sutton bringing 40 fans and the home section having nothing to bounce off.

Big away followings always bring out the best from the home ends but they're few and far between in this division.
