It’s definitely a shame we haven’t seen a fully fit Pattison more often
Every time he gets the ball his first thought is to go forward at pace.
This immediately relieves the pressure on the back four.
Hopefully it’s not serious as I think both his and Sarcevic’s fitness are the key to us being top 3 in May.

I'd rather have cool, calm and collected than charging towards the fans fist pumping any day of the week.

I didnt mind Gilli as a squaddie. Think early on in the season we could have done with him but he wasnt good enough asa starter. His time was up this year and GA must have told him he would be a squaddie and hw decided it was time to move on.

You could see that with Patts beginning of last season, then he got the bad injury. Hughes made mistakes, his style was dire but he and the team suffered from Patts loss. We were back to Richie and Gilli.

Maybe a lot of that was down to the way the managers set up and simply not trusting him to attack .............i mean how many times did he get into a good attacking posistion to shoot and simply passed sideways ??????? Was it a confidence thing with him ???? I doubt either of our two attacking midfielders now would pass up the chance to have a shot.
I mean in all honesty Gilly may have also done well with two runners either side of him like Smallwood does now because i csn put money on that the majority on here where gutted when Smallwood signed that new deal.

But that's the point. He was never signed as a squadie, he was signed for the first 11. It was only when he got injured towards the end of last season and we went on that good run without him (and Bobby finally got his chance), that I think the penny started to drop.

so as normal i have waited until i post.
I feared we would come unstuck, especially after Tuesday's exploits.
How wrong was i . If we had won 4-1 it would not have been an injustice. MK tidy but toothless and watching them reminded me of us under Hughes
Can we find the 25 points to reach 82 and a top 3 place
Bromley is massive , a win could have us sat second and put pressure on the other teams who are not playing
We can get 15 points from the home games, can we gain 3 wins and a draw away from VP

I found this little gem on their forum earlier .

When I often repeat the mantra “ They are a bunch of self entitled, arrogant fools”

    Here’s a classic …..

“The away fans were diagonally away from the dugout, so no it didn't happen and the referee wasn't biased. They were a typical northern club, barging and grappling, so got a lot of fouls against them.”

I just really wonder if he has looked at the league table and considered how much money they have spent in the last 5 years to achieve such giddy heights?

They are on their FIFTH manager in two seasons from memory .

Actually, a draw takes us 2nd on Tuesday. A win would be brilliant of course, but would take a draw and then go on to beat Salford Saturday

I struggle to see what he'd offer as a squad player. He's wasn't good enough to replace Smallwood and didn't offer any goal threat if he replaced Sarc, Patto or Bobby. Maybe as a back up RWB I suppose. Anyway, that's water under the bridge.

I suppose it takes all sorts.
Hes never going to be a Diego Simeone type manager.
At the end of the day his job is to win football matches.
If he does that he can act however he wants post match.

Adaramola worries me a little. That's 2 yellow cards for dissent or getting involved when there's no need. He's young but more experienced opposition players will wind him up and we could end up with 10 on the pitch. I'd like to see him go about his business like Richards. I hope GA has the same word with him as he did with Shepherd.

I mean in terms of ball possession and field position. We played well, no doubt about it but I just can't agree that we "completely smothered them"given the amount of ball they had in and around our box.

A big test is coming now three out of the next four are away and we have to transfer our form to away matches. I am glad Shepherd is back for a long ball bombardment at Bromley. We need at least four points from the next two matches

He is like one of those hero footballers we used to see Roy of the Rovers? He can do everything defend, create and score.

Would want the win at Bromley easing the pressure of Saturdays game i mean Should we win both games we could open a bit of a gap on some clubs that dont kick off till 3............i just think these two are huge and a 4 point haul is another job done going into 3 homes games from our next 4 ..............in all honesty out of remaining home games i csn only see Notts C being a problem but we all know it never works out like that dont we ?????

The big thing for me is shots that their keeper is having to save. We aren't really threatening the goal that much but are doing well from the few clear cut chances we create. Aside from the two goals yesterday I think their keeper made three saves. Accrington and Harrogate's keepers did very little really.

I would like us getting the opposition keeper a lot busier.
