    Holy smokes...

    Smith too?!

Damn, we'll be lucky if we're not lining up with 8 centre backs at this rate...

He’s shorter odds than Kelly and Platt.

Have we been on sky during the regular season since Harrogate schooled us? I know Carlisle was on in PO, obviously.

Charles Vernam is back at Grimsby I see. He’ll no doubt come back to haunt us.

It was a knat bite. He is allergic to insect bites. His knee swelled right up and it is taking its time to heal. They have had him on antibiotics. Personally I suffer from the same allergy and the only thing that really brings the swelling down is hydrocortisone and ice packs.

I personally don't dislike Hughes or playing out from the back...

... but I'm still disappointed that we aren't monsters from set pieces.

Even with 3 centre backs, we don't seem like any sort of danger from corners.

Attacking or defending a set piece, we look out of place every time. All 11 defending in your box and zonal marking just doesn't work, nobody has a clue who they are supposed to watch and even if we win the first header, all 11 are in the box and they have 3 outside waiting to start the second phase. Brainless defending and I have no clue why Hughes persists with it.

But attacking, it's like we do that zonally too. There's never like a set piece "play" we do. Sometimes you'll see a team have 3 or 4 lads all stand together on the edge of the area and break runs in different directions causing panic on the markers. We all just seem to take up the same spots and don't leave the defence guessing. We just hope we are stronger than the marker. Not just the 3 CBs, Cook is a big lad (obvs injured at the min), McDonald looks a big un, Richards is a CB by trade until about 12 months ago, Oyegoke has size. We should have 5 or 6 options who aren't strangers to winning a challenge but we never seem to have a prayer.

It's baffling, especially when Hodges coaching speciality is supposed to be set pieces.

It is exactly for this reason that I lay a lot of the blame on GH.
Thought he came with the reputation of being a ' set piece specialist '.

Exactly why everyone said we needed to strengthen that area as a priority back in July.

This is probably the worst possible time to have Jake Young winning Player of the Month, when every single City striker is out injured...

I personally don't think Young is all that, and I don't think he's scoring that many this season despite his phenomenal start, but damn...

We literally don't have any options in the area he plays in.

We will find out this weekend if Hughes has a tactical brain. We have no centre forward. How is he going to play round that and still create and score.

We've got Derbyshire, Tulloch and Youmbi.

That's 3 centre forwards for one position.
