Ha I remember that game! Rafa De Vita! Whatever happened to him?oh to have a team like Wolves at VP again in the league. Those were the days. Spot on with the rest of your post.

If it ain't working then simply why wait that long to make a change ............... in a way Grimsby did us a favour in getting that goal because you could see more of the same happening had they not

I remember that Wolves substitution too. A piece of managerial genius. I think it was his captain that he took off too. That kind of thing is what good managers do, admit you've got it wrong before it gets any worse. Can you ever imagine Hughes doing something like that so early?

I think most who watched the game realised the better second half was all about formation change rather than the introduction of Gilly and Tulloch and that's not dissing the guys, Pointon and Halliday were a threat down the right our movement was 100% better, the lad Afoka ran at the Grimsby defenders something we saw nothing of from Derbyshire, Richards looked more comfortable getting forward, not total domination but compared with the first half it felt that way.

As you say Broncs, every player bar none started to look a lot more comfortable after the break. A good manager will take that on board, a poor one will ignore it and go back to what he wants, whether it works for everyone else or not. Let's see which manager we have next Saturday, but unfortunately, I think I already know the answer to that.

It was said many times before the start of this campaign the likes of both Wrexham and Notts County who had been promoted would be right up there, along with those who missed out last season Mansfield, Stockport, Salford, Gillingham and ourselves.

I ain't gonna diss any of them lads because o frankly think there is a team in there that could push for the top 3 but sadly we are being let down by a manager who is trying to over complicate things yet again :( his arrogance will be his downfall.
Yesterday was bad but how many times does he continue to go down this road ?????
It happened plenty of times last season and sadly the same will happen again this season.

That's hard to disagree with, through the years I've watched Bradford City the few times we've won promotion or been there abouts you could recall several games during those seasons where the team took the opposition to pieces, the season under Cherry we gave teams 2 goals start at Valley Parade and then kicked arse (apart from was it Reading ?) the nearly season we played some delightful football and you could not wait to get down to Valley Parade to see the demolishing of the next opponents, point out one game last season when we did that.
It was a hotchpotch of a season getting results without playing well or am I being too critical of Mark Hughes ?.

I ain't really bothered how the football is played so long as it's getting results
I ain't even arsed about formations so long as it looks like the players know what there doing and neither is happening at the moment.
I mean the 2nd half was better yesterday but was that down to how poor it was during the first half but we only had one effort on target to show for it ?????
We he learn well judging on last season he simply won't he seems hell bent on it being his way
I mean the dramatic change of formation compared to last season is laughable it never needed changing the only reason we didn't go up automatically was down to dropping points to teams that we should be beating comfortable
    Rochdale lost 2-1
    Hartlepool 2-2
    Crawley 1-1
    Wimbledon 2-2

Sort that out and presto your on your way.

I wasn’t suggesting you personally are or was obsessed. When people post that he’s scored again and tag me in…WtF that all about? Its fittingly childish perhaps?
I don’t care , I hadnt even seen any results as I wanted to see OUR game first and opine on it as a result. And the first thing I see, is a child like post adding me in as if it’s something I should be worried or care about.

What has Sparks opinion got to do with the price of fish? That I don’t get especially as some now claim he’s worth money, in that instance Sparks will be smiling from ear to ear?

    Hope that explains .

Just a quick question, did you see Odusina training with the first team as the lad never even makes the bench let alone the pitch.
Could have done with Rupp ripping up the contracts of him and Derbyshire and using the monies saved to bring in two players of L2 quality able to help from the get-go.
ie Rupp takes the hit on the contracts and our tip top season ticket budget is used on others.

Let’s say Hughes did ask this, long balls up to Derbyshire and CB win every time and play to his feet Derbyshire has no pace plus player not supporting, I get that’s all MH has to play with but his players and his tactics, how could he get that so wrong first half?
That said second half formation has potential and players seem to have confidence to run towards the goal and can’t fault them for effort, will MH revert back to expirence and dull football?

Didn’t we bring Pattison in for goals from midfield and we now do have pace up front. Trouble is we are so busy playing about dangerously at the back with a goalkeeper who’s distribution is terrible we are never in the opposition half

Have Wrexham or Notts County drastically changed their style of play after promotion? I would say not-so keeping the same formation and building a solid team around that seems to work.

Us on the other hand completely change our formation and severely weaken us as an attacking force. Tactical suicide in my book.

It wasn't broke and didn't need fixing-just needed refining.

Crikey this club does my head in at times.

MH should suck it up, admit he has royally messed up and get us to a flat back and use the talent we briefly saw on Saturday to strike the fear of god into the opposition instead of meekly lying down in front of them like we did first half yesterday. That had to be the biggest bore fest served up for years.

The senior pro's have to get into his ear and say boss this isn't working.
