From highlights of recent games I've just watched and a couple of articles I've just read, the new manager just seems to have got them working hard and putting in a shift. As we all know, in a league of not a lot of quality, those attributes can go far.

If we play like we did against Doncaster we could lose but we have more than enough quality and attacking options to win this. I hope GA's gets the tactics right and the players put in the effort from the start.

Can't be done for a permanent deal. That clause is only on a loan.

Forecast not ideal for tomorrow. Hopefully any heavy rain is kept for the morning. Could be another day of watching the window hoping for the rain to stop.

Yesterday's soaking won't have helped. Let's hope it is on as I assume FGR will have travelled today.

passed VP earlier today, so had a quick nosey in. Pitch looked fairly dry . No puddles, just sand and mud.

The perfect surface for a professional football game to be played…

Well another miserable bloody start to the day. If the pitch is playable today, then any more rain during the week will surely put the kybosh on Saturdays match

I think we should ask the EFL to plan all our home games in the first half of the season, and we play away for the second. There you go problem solved;)

Not looking good, the rain might not be heavy, but it's persistent. One way or another we are likely to "lose" at least one of the next three matches to the weather.

I’d just cancel it instead of waiting and forking out another compensation claim from visiting club
    It’s gonna be 50/50 surely
Even if goes ahead it’s more than likely will not be in fit state for Saturday

I'd rather we played tonight and lost saturday, with a re-arranged date after Mansfield are already Champions.

Looking at the Forecasts. Met Office has it wet this morning, dry but overcast from midday. The BBC has it the same in the morning but drizzle in the afternoon.

Like a good number on here, l live outside Bradford and will set off for the match about 5.30 pm.

If they are going to hold a pitch inspection, then doing so around 4.00-4.30 pm would be a good time for the vast majority who travel a distance.

lf the pitch is fit(ish) for purpose, then allaying fears by putting some information out during the day would be good PR.

The M62 in rush hour, twilight and with drizzle is not a good place to be.

After the farce and wasting a load of time and money the other Saturday, I’ll be thinking twice about setting off tonight especially if there is still lingering doubt over pitch this afternoon.

You mean like they did the morning before the Notts County game?

If this is on I can see FGR coming to utterly frustrate City, the team and fans, and try and nick one. Hopefully the ref is a bit more savvy than some we have had; interestingly he was the ref for the away fixture earlier this season.

Or alternatively call off tonight, and reschedule for when FGR are either safe or relegated? There's no way Cloughie will take it easy on us regardless of their league status. He dislikes us because of Cookie lol

Can they do that Eccy? If so, I wonder if we claimed for the Barrow farce?

I expect if it's off we will have to pay
compensation. I would think FGR either travelled yesterday or are already on their way.

Colchester have already had their game against Doncaster called off for a waterlogged pitch

Nice early decision, takes the away fans into consideration, home fans know where they stand. How hard can it be
