Well that first half was as bad as I have seen. We just played in their half with Cook on the halfway line. They passed us off the park, thankfully they lost momentum in from if goal. Somehow we scrambled a goal, so I was pleased. I thought we would come out and attack but it was still laborious but better than the 1st half.

Now once again we do not look fit. Do we not have a fitness coach? I strongly suspect the injury list will increase.

It looks like we will pretend we know what we are doing until we get the hang of it. Love snaffling the 3 points though.

He was terrible for us not to mention injured most of his 2 years here but there’s no denying he was Scunthorpe’s best player in the previous 2 years and will probably be Grimsby’s best player this season.

In the first half City players spent a lot of time pointing, trying to remember where the gaffer had told them to be in certain situations whilst Crewe played off the cuff one touch passes.

Well not a typical 4 man midfield with 2 wingers but we went to a flat back 4 with traditional full backs.
It seemed that Smith was pushed further forwards so I’d say that was 2 up front.
That leaves 4 in midfield whichever way you want to slice it up.
