Yrs he’s gone down hill, lost confidence probably because there is no service , either wide or through the middle.

Just looking over the match stats and woof, bad night. He had 13 touches of the ball, winning 3 headers. Of the other 10 touches, 7 of them ended with him losing possesion. One shot, one successful pass, 3 fouls and 1 yellow card. Bad night at the office for the lad.

If he moves on in Jan everyone will be crying. He is young and positive. OK not everything he tries works but nothing improves without trial and failure.

Brad Holliday had a great season for us last year. Not only in defense but he was a real threat going forwards. A lot of that I think was down to, firstly, the fact that he is a right-back all day long. Secondly, he had an understanding with Alex Gilliead who he could trust had both the athleticism and positional awareness to cover him.

This highlights two of our failings this year. If we were changing away from a back four then Brad Halliday should have been replaced with a player more suited for the wing-back role. He's a first team player that doesn't fit into the team.

Secondly, this season we haven't built any partnerships on the pitch. It's a constant rehash of the starting 11. No wonder the players look uncomfortable and uninspired. I don't think GA is clear on what he is doing and this is evident in our performances, especially in the way we start games. I can't imagine us being 4-0 up after half an hour like a couple of teams last night. We are timid and uncertain from kick-off.

I am worried about Andy. He looked upset Saturday and handed his shirt to a supporter in the crowd with a look of I'm done here. If he upsticks Jan the season is done.

Not the player he was last year, but earlier this season he developed quite a good partnership with Baldwin. It will be interesting to see how Halliday, or Benn, play with Baldwin back in the team. He's a decent ball player but more importantly he moves the ball quickly rather than waiting til he and the wing back are closed down.

Well that was extremely poor, yet again.
Its a right struggle getting up at 5 am, working in the freezing cold all day, struggling through traffic home, getting washed, changed, eat your tea and out again, only to be served up with that.
the players looked completely lost until the four subs and only slightly better, thanks to Bobby P and Baldwin, who pushed us up the pitch.
Smallwood should be stripped of the captaincy with immediate effect. He should be driving the team on, yet constantly loses the ball, misses simple passes and stands pointing his finger, as if he is faultless.
Odour , my god , he gets worse, which i thought was impossible. Halliday a shadow of his former self and is not a centre half. Sanderson after a bright start, has gone into his shell and should have done better with the header from Cook's superb cross. Cook also looks to be un- interested , which is not surprising, he has very little support, gets battered from pillar to post and is feeding off scraps.
Pattinson was non existent and really has not proved his worth.
I thought Huntington was steady away. Shepherd again is not the same as earlier in the season.
Its all a bit BLAH again. Thank god i wont be seeing a game until boxing day.

He isn’t a centre half. His best attribute is his ability to get up and down the pitch. So much as to be able to get in the PFA team as a wing back. The fact Alexander prefers benn there is on Alexander. Now Baldwin is back he should revert to wing back. He’s better than benn in my opinion in that role.

Might be an unpopular opinion, and I'm not sure the reason for it exactly, but I thought Jay Benn had a stinker.

I know people are looking at Richie Smallwood's pace and how he can be slow, but a couple of times I noticed Benn might as well have been playing as a centre back rather than a wing back. He was far too far back on more than one occasion, which meant Smallwood didn't have that outlet.

I also thought he lost quite a few physical challenges.

Looked well off it for me. Would rather Halliday played there, but it will be for naught if Alexander is instructing them to be safety first. I mean FFS we were playing the team with the worst form in the whole of the EFL yesterday, and we didn't seem to want to get at them at all.
