Wonder if there will be a Remembrance Service before kick off tomorrow?

Notwithstanding the importance of paying our respects in a national context, I'm sure there will be many people associated with our club who have died or been injured serving our country; right from Jimmy Speirs over a hundred years ago to more modern times.

Ah yes, found it. So pleased that the club are doing this.

Bradford City AFC will host its annual Remembrance fixture tomorrow, when welcoming Barrow to the University of Bradford Stadium (3.00pm).

The Bluebirds will visit Valley Parade on Remembrance Day, in what is new City boss Graham Alexander's first game in charge of the Bantams.

The tie will see the two teams pay their respects to the fallen, over the 105th anniversary of the Armistice.

Both captains will lay poppy wreaths in the centre circle upon entering the field, before a period of silence is introduced by club chaplain, Pastor Oliver Evans, following a rendition of The Last Post, performed by Oliver Richardson.

Home players will carry poppies on their playing shirts, which are set to be auctioned off at a later date, with proceeds to be donated to the Royal British Legion.

We will also be joined by flag bearers who will be present during the period of reflection, while bucket collectors can be found around the outside of Valley Parade before the game, raising vital funds for Sea Cadets.

The Rupp must go sentiment is a much repeated comment.

But, but, but, in the absence of a viable alternative, it just isn’t going to happen!

It is grit your teeth time.

so, on to tomorrows fixture. We have an abundance of wingers now to our disposal. Tulloch, Afoka, Wilson, and now Chapman is back in the mix as well, with the likes of Smith waiting in the wings, no pun intended

Anyways, it'l come as no surprise to see Osadebe on the left

Pointon and Chapman (if fit enough) for me. If Chapman isn't quite there I'd go with Wilson.

He should be nowhere near that starting 11, id argue the matchday 18 too - especially when everyone fit.

    Lewis
    Halliday Tomkinson Stubbs Richards
    Smallwood Walker Gilliead
    Pointon Cook Smith

Doyle, Ridehalgh, Platt, McDonald, Chapman, Odour, Wilson

I would save Smith until 70-75th minute. Canavan should be tiring by then, Smiths pace and his recent hat trick should have boosted his confidence. Smash them at the end of the match!

My thoughts. I put him down as the last scorer for us based on that principle.

Fresh start, clean slate for all. A win of any type will do for me, get the new man off to a good start.
The only thing i don't want to see, is Osadibe anywhere near the team, he was dreadful last week.
Lets get behind the boys from the first minute and be patient , Rome was not built in a day, as the saying goes.

I know it’s very short notice and anybody who needed a ticket has probably already got one but I’ve got a spare season ticket available for this afternoon if anybody wants it.
My wife is “ out out” so doesn’t need it.
    Don’t want anything for it.
    It’s for the main stand.

I’ve never tried to get in to another part of the ground with it so don’t know if that’s an option.

Its very much first come first served so if anybody wants it get in touch.

Did you notice in that “Inside” video I posted last night Oliver was taking part in that full blown
“ training match” and then close to the end of the clip he can be seen limping heavily . Oh well.

He's been dreadful in pretty much every game. I dont like singling out individuals but he looks nowhere near professional standard to me. We will never know if thats down to the horrific injury or if we genuinely signed another dud but like you I dont want to see him anywhere near the first team. Unfortunately I fear we will be disappointed.
