We've been poor tonight.

 

Same as Saturday to be honest.

 

Are we paying with lack of goals and precense up front by not signing a decent forward in the window knowing Cook was out for season

That last chance from them started with Leigh losing easy possession.
Three touches later they hit the bar.

Another awful game of football, but Accrington seem far more threatening than Harrogate did.

 

Yep. Can see them scoring some scrappy goal or getting a penalty or something and we'd only have ourselves to blame.

 

I disagree. The games against Morecambe and Harrogate felt like professional, narrow but deserved wins that should have been more comfortable by getting a 2nd when on top. The sort of 'job done' wins that almost promotion sides need.

Tonight is different. Its poor, loose, disjointed and unconvincing. The lack of a quality striker makes no sense, nor does the combined additions of Lapslie and Leigh. I'm not at all confident we'll see this out at 1-0.

 

If Leigh needs time to get fit and to adapt to our way of play why does he look worse the more he’s played?

Accy have had two chances and should have scored once already! It's been 5 minutes...

 

We've created about three chances in the last two games. Just lucky that Harrogate didn't look like scoring and Accrington haven't been able to so far.

 

there is a reason harrogate and accy are where they are in the table..if we scrape 3 by hook or crook i will gladly take it

 

We did at least have spells of pressure. In fact the 1st half of both, we controlled and should have scored more. We maintained attacks, played some good stuff, good intensity and tempo etc. We've had none of that tonight.

 

Great hold up play from Leigh. Seems to have these moments where you think he can do something on the ball then doesn't get a touch for 15 minutes.

 

Not a great performance. As predicted, goals could be a struggle. Looks like the defence has sorted itself out though.

That said, as with Saturday, rode our luck at times.

 

Leigh is. not good up front

 

Walsall drop more points.

 

Got in to watch from 65 minutes. Not a single moment of quality so far.
