Alexander said: “Corry just started stiffening up a little bit and gave us the nod. There was a question I had to answer, whether I started Sarc or not.
“I think it was just his calf. He wasn’t injured, he just said it started to stiffen up. He didn’t want to let us down, he said at half-time he wanted to see how it goes for 10 minutes. He gave us the nod, that’s not a problem.

“I’ve got real empathy for where he is physically because of what he’s done, it’s why I brought him off on Tuesday, because his performance was really good."

"Benn was on the floor as the half-time whistle blew and did not emerge for the second half, with Brad Halliday stepping in at right wing-back.

Alexander said: “He’s hurt his foot and his shin. I think it was a couple of challenges, consecutive, in about three minutes or so"

“Pins and needles in his foot, he couldn’t really put his full weight on it. It was an easy decision for us to make really. We had Brad on the bench, who played really well on Tuesday [against Stockport County in the EFL Cup]. That’s where we need to be, we need to have good players vying for each position

A poor run isnt neccesarily a good thing. We love to gift teams victories when on poor runs.

It was an easy win really. Swindon didn't have a shot on target that i can remember. When I saw Smith up front I thought we were in for a battle. That never happened...

Richards and Pointon have a good understanding on the left with some neat play between the two. It didn't always work... but they were positive and tried to get it moving.

Evans was good. Jay Benn had a good game.

I thought Cooky ran his arse off up front and chased everything.

Huntington was class. As someone said earlier, you can tell he has experience.

Sarce coming on was good to see and he put himself about.

They're on a similar poor run to the one we've (supposedly) just come out of. They've not won in the league since 26th October and since then have drawn twice and lost three times. Of course we should be capitalising on that but like you say, it isn't the Bradford way.

An easy win that we made look bloody difficult! Swindon offered nothing, we should have demolished them.

"Strongest in the league" I think was the quote at the time.

Grimsby Manager said it so it must be true. And then they beat us and are currently above us.....

Can honestly say that as things stand, Cook and Pointon are the only two players I would not entertain reasonable offers for.

Grimsby manager said it as some sort of psychology ploy and it was immediately jumped on by the usual suspects on here as an absolute fact.

They also believed Rupp, Sparks and Sharp in their open letter and media soundbites.

Wonder if they still believe in Santa?

It wasn't a classic by any means but we got the 3 points, as you say a couple more goals wouldn't harm because at 1 - 0 as the minutes ran down we became more and more reluctant to attack Swindon something we do far to much because of our lack of goals.

Yes that’s very true, it leads to a nervy crowd and a nervy team and that’s how mistakes are made
Once their land of the giants subs came on I feared an ariel bombardment, thankfully it didn’t pan out , agree the second goal steadies the nerves.

Scoring quite early like we did I would normally expect us to lose or at least draw that game but in the end we coped with Swindon's limited threat and it was (for a one nil) quite comfortable, so I suppose that is progress. Admittedly that was probably partly down to a 37 year old centre half who is unlikely to be with us beyond the end of the season.

If he can continue to play like that , keep fit , he may prove to be very good back up. He’s proved himself easily thus far and his quality stands out and supports those around him.
