If we were to ever rise up the leagues, these postponements would hit us harder especially if a TV game gets called off.

Perhaps that's something to do with them all having state of the art covers, multimillion pound drainage systems and undersoil heating to dry the surface. Mosty funded by billions of pounds of TV money.

Anyone complaining about todays postponement needs to shake their heads and start living in the real world rather than fantasy land where everything is the fault of Stephan Rupp/ Ryan Sparks/ Bradford City FC/ Deluded Derek (delete based on which one you feel like being the victim of today)

Currently we are tinpot and will be for more decades
That’s where fans need to get into the real world as you say

Can't believe I'm reading folk criticising the club about the postponement lol. It's been a ridiculously wet December so far.

The comedy is strong when we have a nineteenth century yankee general telling us to start living in the real world :joy:

    * Was going to say as both City and Salford are out of the fa cup play the game on that saturday rather than midweek BUT looks like we have Crawley at home alas

Totally agree JJ. It would be interesting to see how many would think spending money on new state of the art systems would be a good idea. There is a finite budget. If it removes say a few hundred thousand out of potential ‘better’ players spending.

It would also be hiring personnel to set up/remove and importantly having sufficient space to store the system. Perhaps @wetherbywhaler@wetherbywhaler has some perspective.
Not sure if a system like this would be practical. https://matchsaver.com/products/matchsaver-ars-air-roller-system/

Unless football is moved to a summer sport or indoor, there will continue to be plenty of postponements up and down the country. Not sure why people lose their shit every time it happens, it’s literally happened all throughout football’s existence.

Not criticising the club, obviously the game can’t be played.

First game in 4 years lost to a waterlogged pitch and the hysterical part of the fanbase exposes themselves.

    Tinpot club
    No rain covers (lol)
Spent hundreds of thousands on pitch
    Time to leave VP

    It’s always the same.
All the amateur groundsmen and meteorologists come out to play when we have a postponement.

Bottom line Rod, it's teddies out of the pram because their plans for the day are spoilt so they have to have someone to blame.

The first world problem that whatever happens in life, some will see themselves as 'victims' and seek to find blame.

As John Kettley very probably never said, it's f@cking pissing it down with rain.

We have frost covers not rain covers. If you put rain covers on where do you expect the rain to go other than flooding the edges?

Not many multimillion grounds, pitches etc etc in league one
    Just saying

I couldn’t care less if game on or off tbh

Might be in this tinpot league but our ground should be able to withstand some rain
