Some of the reactions from supporters at the matches are pathetic.
It's like we've conceded a goal if we concede a free kick or give the ball away.

"Repeatedly"? I must have chatted through the first half with at least a dozen people and none us commented on this.

Seriously. I saw nothing different to Bank's 'fade in and out of games' to normal.

Amazed that Banks is getting both barrels, when Chapman's body language was the worst I've seen from any player since the relegation season. He was lucky to stay on. Booked - but no, he still had to be gesturing at the ref and linesman.

I empathise with Chapman to a degree, he was played away from his favoured position for too much of this season and lost confidence - so his sacrifice for the team has to be respected. But he needs to go away and reset his mind, realistically this can't happen until next season.

Being 2-1 down at half time as disappointing as it was, was a blessing in disguise.
Gave us a full 45 mins to sort out the win.
Go in 1-0 up and I think we would have relaxed and maybe conceded an equaliser late on.

But Banks has been like this all season. I went to Sutton and he barely touched the ball for the first 30 minutes. It was Eisa who provided the forward energy, during this time.

Then Banks scored that wonder goal. And his involvement in the build up to our first goal, was very mature play - but, yes, then next move he goes back to YTS winger

He's a youngster, still a bit green and nowhere near as streetwise as say Wright was. But in fairness it took Wright a few seasons to 'get it'.

I think for this season, we'll always get these 'in and out' kind of performances

I agree if we had held on to the 1.0 lead we would have gone deeper and deeper until we conceded we had to get on the front foot and to their credit they did it reasonably well

I remember someone saying whilst he was out that he wasn't actually injured. I wonder if he's another like Sutton that's had a bout of Covid and hasn't been able to regain his previous level of fitness.

East, Young and Chapman are all our players, contracted until until June 2024 or June 2025 in Young's case. So unless someone wants to buy them or we pay up their contract, those 3 will certainly be with us next seaon.

Or take them on loan I suppose.

Yes those three are our player's for next season ,does not mean they might not be moved on. Young in particular. Barrow might want him on a permanent, i am not sure how he is doing for them.
I was just suggesting that we are a bit keen to judge younger player's at times, especially the ones that come through our ranks.

No it wasn’t Chapmans fault for sure.

I think he could move on in the summer. Stubbs, Platt and Kelly are ahead of him. He is not even getting a bench spot.

Many were slating him early in the season, but now he's a great signing!! I always saw him as a solid right-back in this league. Additionally, it seems Chapman is the new scapegoat of the squad now Smallwood has slightly improved

Macclesfield play in the Northern Premier league West, which they currently lead by 15 points,so odds on they will be in the Northern Premier league premier division next season, which is one step below National League North,so they are making progress, but what they are asking for next season is a lot of money.Their average gate this season is 4.000,it will be interesting to see how the price increase affects that.

Stubbs looks like sort of signing that was rightly playing in a league above us, has hardly put a foot wrong since coming here.

It was Chapman's fault. All that sulking sent negativity through the airwaves and stopped Banks wanting to run or summat.

Its a stupid price for whatever league they are in outside the football league and using the stadium running cost's as the reason why they need to charge so much is even dafter. Claiming they would have to reduce the playing budget to cover the extra costs is almost blackmailing the fans to pay up.

They're essentially running a league club at a ridiculously low level though.

The reason Scunthorpe might not exist is because it's just not realistic to operate at that level without substantial overheads being covered.

I have no issues with Macclesfield charging what they need?

I can't disagree with any of this from Hughes.
