Think of the bigger picture / longer term.

A few hundred quid is nothing in comparison to the value of the message it would send for the clubs long term benefit.

I'll watch on iFollow and hope we win. But I would hope we ONLY use reserves, young players and players coming back from injury until we lose or win the competition. I don't want to see a single first teamer in this competition. Save them for the important league games to keep ourselves in the league

This loan just doesn't make sense at all. Pursued past the deadline, defence crying out for pace and a ball player yet Hughes, Macdonald, Trueman and Alexander haven't picked him. He's obviously way off being a starter and I'd imagine he'll return to Norwich without making a significant contribution to the club. Gent really needs to come out and explain the rationale behind a whole host of signings. We've wasted so much time, money and effort on these youngsters.

I would actually rather the manager try something out with the team tonight as the result doesn't matter. Maybe he could restrict Ash Taylor to putting the training cones out rather than sending him out as centre back.

 

That's a shame. I was hoping for a crowd <1000.

 

Given our chronic lack of pace at the back, a centre half should be able to play as part of a pair otherwise he’ll have a very short career. Add to that his supposed ball playing skills, maybe he could have been used as a DM ahead of Oyegoke. I appreciate he’s had an injury but seems fit enough to travel with the USA team so he must be fit enough to play you’d imagine.

 

I thought he was quickly recruited because Barnsley had a blonde moment by taking Stubbs off of us in a last day deal ?

Shocking team that. Tulloch or Afoka not going to improve it much. Cook starts to try and get his confidence back perhaps. Either him or Wilson.
