I've been utterly confused as to why there is so much pessimism

I think it's because every one of the L2 are entering the unknown given the salary cap and pandemic - but we could easily end up top as much as end up bottom

I'm also trying to think of 5 teams who've demonstrably got stronger squads, in theory - and remember where theory gets you. Crewe and Cheltenham were not expected to end up above Fleetwood, Walsall and Scunthorpe last season

Not saying we're going to romp the league - but I have no confidence than anyone else will. For instance Doyle, rarely has two good seasons on the trot - for me is mindset is that as a player who's at his best when having something to prove and crumbles a bit when there is higher expectation

This season is a lottery for each of the three Football League divisions increasing the lower the actually division. I haven't a clue if this teams bad as I've observed other clubs are also in this 'suck and see' mode
