As much as i don't really give a shit, it still a bit perplexing as to what the change actually achieves? Don't give me that boll0cks about fans behind both goals, means jack shit. Isn't it easier to get the away fans out of the Bradford End and the last two blocks?

3 blocks would be 1928 seats (I think), which is under the minimum required.

Give them the Dallas stand and make it up to exactly 2000 in block G in Midland Road. Close of block F for segregation, and bobs your uncle:brig:

Doesn't affect me as I sit in the kop but why didn't they use the newly configured arrangement that was being spoken about a couple of weeks ago.
Close the new gate they have installed and given them D-G in midland road, leaving A-C for city fans. This would give them the 2k we are required, yes some city fans would still be inconvenienced but less of them and would also keep better segregation from the kop.

When we played Bolton in the league a couple of weeks ago, they brought almost 2,800 fans; many more than is required by the EFL and also a lot more than the away tickets being provided to us for the first leg. The Bolton fans were accommodated in the TL Dallas and Blocks F & G in the MR. Why not simply do the same again?

It might do when the Midland Roaders buy the decent seats in the Kop, leaving you in the bottom tier of the Dallas.

I can't disagree with this in any sense. From the policing to the stewarding, even down to the clubs risk assessment, why change something that has clearly worked a week or so ago. Its not like home ticket sales will come into the equation, there will be plenty available with it being a Thursday night game. Unless i'm missing something very obvious (wouldn't be the first time) i can't see what the positives are out of this? If there is one i'll gladly change my opinion.

There's a rumour going around on Boltons twitter that Kenny picked up a knee issue at the end of yesterday's match. Would be big if he wasnt fit.

Agreed. The only justification for the way the club is managing the issue which I can think of is the apparent need to have home fans in the TL Dallas stand. I think your earlier assessment of that particular option is the correct one.

This is what Carlisle had in 2023 which was just over 2,400.

If the new segregation gate was available to use we could have moved the segregation line to the other half of Block E and had that as half City fans and cut the away allocation to 2,000.

If it was a case of giving up the whole stand like we did in the cup game against Leeds to suit ticket requirements then i could see the strategy and why its being implemented. But the set up a week or so ago worked well, its worked well for years.

maybe we will put netting on front few rows to reduce the numbers but not sure if that would be possible as that’s where the disabled tickets are

Just when you think the club is doing well they pull a dumb stunt like this.. surely if having both sets of fans behind the goals makes such a difference why havent they made this permanent ?? its just stupid moving your own fans for what is potentially the most important game of the season and as others have said midland road offers one of the best views in the entire stadium.. huge own goal by the club here

    FFS.
    KEEP UP.
IF THERE’S A PENALTY SHOOTOUT,WHICHEVER END ITS AT WE WILL HAVE FANS BEHIND BOTH GOALS.
THEREFORE GUARANTEEING WE WIN AND GET TO WEMBLEY.

    ITS NOT FU@KING ROCKET SCIENCE.

If we wanted to do that it shouldn't be an issue as you'd just have the something like what we have on the front few rows of the kop and start it on row 2. It would also be safer for fans in wheelchairs as I can remember in the Leeds game some of their fans ended up crushing and squashing the fans in wheelchairs when they scored
