Strange if that is the case the EFL allow the restricted sale of away tickets to potentially reduce gates, like MK Dons do when they have 20k empty seats.

It doesn’t matter how big your stadium is after the
20000 mark, it’s up to the clubs, but 2000 is the bench mark, or 10% if your stadium is smaller than 20000

It's really 25 ways Kev as the money the EFL takes in is then distributed out as prize money for the finishing positions so they'll be delighted at Bolton and Bradford bumping up the pot.

Looks like the club has released part of Block A in the Main Stand, seats in Block K in the Main Stand and another front row in the Kop. Add to Block E in the Midland Road and it is around 200. We must be getting close to the final numbers, although there is no shut off time for the closure of the sales as far as I can see.

I see tickets are still £24, I thought they went up on the day of the game.

Agree. But often you get last minute purchases. People's circumstances can alter at short notice. Last minute impulse decision. Kids putting pressure on parents.

maybe just fans swapping to blocks where they could sit togethor
My eldest daughter fancied a ticket, to celebrate her birthday today , foolish, but it would have meant the three of us already with tickets, would have had to move from the kop
    That was not happening.

It's confusing when areas which have been sold out for ages suddenly have seats spare. I guess people are taking down singles to the ticket office and requesting seats together.

There is about 50 blue dots scattered around the ground now, Block A seems to have shifted a fair number of seats today but I don't think the first 10 or so rows were ever up for sale.

22.5 to 23k tonight would be a good estimate at this stage. There ain't much left, which for a play off semi final with the game in the balance should really be an expectation at the minimum.

I do struggle to understand the ticket sales at VP
They quoted 21 700 at 7 pm last night, that would mean another potential 3000 seats, but currently around 60 on sale
Main holds 9000, say 8500 sold
    Nw 2300 all gone 2300
Kop 7400 7200 sold front 2 rows never on sale
    TL 1660 1500 sold
    MR 4500 3500 sold 1000 segregation (2100 Bolton , 1400 home)
That total 23000 , something dosn't add up, there was no way 1300 on sale last night.

Back to Blue Dot gazing. Down to around 25 mid blue and a few pale blue (I assume in someone’s basket?) left. Wonder if they will release more in Block A the Main Stand? Could be a 23,500 or thereabouts attendance tonight.

Had a look. Yes madness, virtually two whole rows. I would think they would be in the section set aside for ‘corporate partners’! With these ‘pop ups’ it is difficult to predict how many more have been ‘held back’!

    Good fun though isn't it!

I mean I've hardly done any work mind...but...I'm classifying this as "important research"
