Is that what they did in the past with regards promotion to the Super League ?.

 

To get in the rugby league super league,all you need is a big screen.

 

It's gonna change soon anyhow. If the championship are going to have play offs down to what is it 8th, then they will be played out like the National league one would expect where the advantage is heavily weighted to those higher up the league.

 

Imagine how badly the 8th best Championship side is going to struggle in the Premier League.

I mean, it keeps more sides "interested", but to what end?

As it stands, Derby have lost 13 of 38 games in the Championship, and it's already the case that the 2nd and 3rd best Championship teams frequently become whipping boys in the PL (although less so this season).

It's just silly, really. The FA might as well just do away with the league and create another cup lol

 

Or how about 3rd place goes straight to final.
5th plays 6th at home in one off game with winner playing 4th away for a place in the final.

 

That could leave 3rd place without a competitive game for 2 to 3 weeks, which might actually be a disadvantage in the long run.

The National League have a decent system.

There are 6 in the play offs, the top 2 get a week off and a guaranteed home game.

3rd in the play-offs plays 6th at home and 4th plays 5th at home. The winner of these two games go away to 1st and 2nd dependent on whoever the lowest ranked side is.

Remember back in the day, when we lost to Boro, if we had won we would have had to play a top tier team in Chelsea home and away to gain promotion.

I'd expect the Sky games for this weekend to be announced tomorrow or Thursday as I don't think they will want to do the announcement on Friday with all of the games happening. Bolton are yet to put away tickets so I wouldn't be surprised if they are waiting for confirmation of the kick off time before putting them on sale.
