Bobby Pointon injury

It's harsh but if Saturday was the first leg of the play offs then it'd be Lapslie. As it isn't, I'd keep Sarce wrapped in cotton wool and only bring him on if we need him.

 

Totally agree, keep Lapslie in with his energy and aggression. If we can get the desired result without needing to risk Sarc then I am all for it. If Lapslie does keep his place and keeps the level of performance he showed on Tuesday it give the management team something to think about.

 

Hopefully Bobby and Sarc on the bench Saturday, wouldn't be risking either and only introduce them if we need something desperately.

Bobby's injury doesn't sound great at all but what do we do? I'd rather get play offs sorted Saturday and then rest them both completely for Exeter.

 

I'm hearing it's ligament damage for Bobby. If so there'll be no real strength in that ankle and he probably won't last long if he started. I hope I heard wrong.

 

The home games this week have highlighted how much we miss Bobby. All we have done is to kick the ball over the defenders' heads for Jackson to try and run onto. When Bobby is there, he is the link between mid and attack.

Any update on Bobby, Sarc and Tyreik

 

GA said earlier in the week that very doubtful we will see Wright again this season.
Nothing official on Pointon, but again, I suspect we wont see him again until pre season.
I think we may see Sarce on the bench at Exeter, but only use him if we are in trouble, hopefully see him in the playoffs?

 

Yes that’s about right . He’s keeping his cards close though as he should !

 

Wright is a real killer in decent form and getting goals out of nothing

 

all three get goals and provide assists too..... missed greatly.. Hopefully Jackson is back on form a tad....

All three leave huge holes to fill given their form and influence on the season so far. Not sure if one out weighs the other since they’re all so important, however you could argue Wright is indeed the biggest loss of the three. When it worked, which it really started to, he offered a dynamic from LWB which we simply cannot replace with anyone else in the squad. It was understood Sibley can also fill that role - but extremely doubtful we will see him again.

Fortunately Tourey is a brilliant alternative, we just lose that attack minded approach which Wright gives us.

Fingers crossed for better news re Bobby

 

Thank goodness we have Touray, his versatility over the season has felt like we get 2 players for one. Also with hindsight it was sensible to recruit so heavily in central defence.

Big shame for Wright though he's been great this year and as others have said had really started to hit his stride.

Still hopeful we'll see something of Bobby, Sarc seems less serious.
