No. I've never actually seen it happen!

Surely there's a difference though between picking up a random back pass and clearly prevenying a ball rolling into the net. If he hadn't done it it was definitely going in the goal.

So, question I guess, if a defender did that they would have been sent off, right? So, why not a keeper?

 

As bad as the defence is, it looks worse due to the lack of support it gets from central midfield. Add to that full backs who can't defend or stop crosses and it's a recipe for disaster.

And replace O'Connor with who? Not exactly brimming with decent defenders - unless we play someone out of position...something we've been doing a lot lately because, urm, we don't have any decent defenders. A back four of Wood/NKP/McGowan/A N Other (Riley/Mellor/Devine)? Please don't say Chicksen can also play in the centre of defence. Jesus, Wood came on as left wing last night when Seedorf went off injured.
I really hope Rupp is cashing in some of his shares as we speak, because he is going to have to spend BIG to get us out of this mess in January.

 

If we drop O'Connor his replacement at the moment is Isherwood. Lol.

 

Let continue with the worse defender then wonder why we let in on average 2 goals per game.

He gets dragged all over the pitch leaving far too much space.

Rather Isherwood if I am honest.

 

Obviously not seen him play, he played at Gillingham against one of the worst teams in the league where we conceded 4, 2 above our average. Lets make a crap defence worse, sounds like a plan.

 

Isherwood is completely woeful. Runs around like a headless chicken. God help us if fans are now citing him as the answer.

The only reason he is in the squad is because he spent some time at a high profile European club in his youth and that gives him the 'wow' factor (Edin clearly never learnt his lesson after Raeder), along with the fact he's probably on wages 1/4 of what Kilgallon was on and it allowed Edin to cost cut further.

He is utter garbage.

 

Right now, sixteen year old Reece Staunton seems like a better option than Isherwood.

 

Depends how good Barnsley reserves are.

 

Wonder if we can ask that Scottish team if they can lend us Kilgallon. Oh wait a minute, he that knows football thinks he is not good enough.
