As others have said it was a poor performance with next to no positives.

On the ball it was the wrost we've been this season. Ball retention non existent and we resorted to lumping it at every opportunity, which would've been ok if we had some pace to run in behind. But we don't, so it made no sense.

Formation and subsequent square pegs in round holes made no sense and the players looked completely clueless in it. 4 players out of position by choice and not necessity is ridiculous.

Honestly we didn't look like scoring. Two howlers from the keeper resulted in our two goals. May have scored twice but the obvious lack of quality and ideas going forward were there for all to see yet again. Paudie's header first half was the only chance we created. I suppose you could say Watt's shot leading to the goal was a chance creation but thats pushing the reality to the extreme.

Still 3 or 4 real quality players short to even think about challenging.

 

As you say the wall is organised by the keeper as that is the area that he can't defend so once in the wall your job is to stand your ground which on this occasion Billy Clarke didn't, although it was poor game overall although at times it was desperate defending there will be plenty of teams coming away from FGR with no points, big physical side who don't like being stood up too, well happy with a point after I thought we'd lose, but we need to perform better next Saturday against Stevenage at home.

Exactly, falling into the trap of Gary Bowyer who was far more concerned about the opposition than trying to pick a team that should win. The day you are worried about teams like Forest Green is the day you may as well give up.

Forest Green were shite. Perhaps if they ate some meat they’d play a bit better and wouldn’t fall over advertising hoardings so easily soft twats

I’d like Bradford City to be doing more than holding their own against sides like Forest Green, three years ago we were within minutes of the Championship. Now we’re holding our own, or getting battered 5-0, against teams who a few seasons ago were non league. Serial mismanagement on and off the pitch has lead to this. Those in charge during this period should hang their heads in shame

 

I worry about McCall I really do. Look, I love him and always will but I understand why Rhodes go him in even though it was LAZY but it was the fans forum that scared me when he was talking about recruitment and formations.

He seems like a manager that is kind out trying to prove he is a good manager without understanding that good manager just let other managers worry about them.

I want it to work for McCall but I am concerned. He needs to relax! It's like he doesn't believe in the club anymore and it's a job to him. I don't get he feel Bradford City is one if not the biggest club in this league. Worrying about Forrest Green is madness.

 

No offence to everyone commenting on the thread/game today but we were the better team until the first red card, got put under the cosh a bit and still scored.

We got @#cked by a sh1t referee, instead of them getting a player sent off we got a second one sent off.

We are on for an even longer season if people expect us to be promoted by Christmas,.

 

I'm not sure what you're basing that on. There was nothing in the game, it was two average sides in a scrappy encounter. A draw was fair overall.

 

It feels very Bowyer esque so far, 2 points from two isn't a bad return but the performances have been very stale. Additions to key areas needed if we're going to mount a push or I feel we'll drop off horribly like last season.
