Hendrie as well. Brought some calmness at the back. More composed on the ball than other defenders and got forward well in the first half.

 

Solid performance. Hendrie, Bass, Walker, Paudie very good. Delfuoneso, Gilliead, Watt poor. Rest ok. Hendrie seemed to really strengthen the defence and got forward well. Nice to have something positive to talk about.

 

Luke Hendrie sounded to have had a good second debut for us tonight

 

He did. Especially going forward. Hit good crosses of either foot.

Should have won more comfortably and have Walker’s good finish and Bass’s saves to thank for the win. Hendrie did very well too. They were poor though, pleased for the fans that we won, but sadly we are just as likely to lose to a better team on Saturday. DA has a long way to go to win most fans over, so we can enjoy tonight but definitely nothing to get carried away about. Really hope Walker’s injury isn’t too bad as he looks a cut above, and he really should be as he is rated in the SPL.

hendrie did well, as did Foulds off bench. Nice block after Bass save.

 

Whoever it is that was keeping tabs on Hornby, sounds like he actually did all right tonight. Made a very good save apparently, and only conceded an 'unstoppable' shot and a penalty.

Can't be blamed, it would be seem.

Pretty uninspiring game to watch - my first away game of the season - but a win's a win.
Bass, Walker, Sutton, Paudie and Hendrie our best performers, for me.
Hendrie is different class from Threlkeld, both in defence and going forward.

 

He did well first half. Some composed defending and good touches on the ball. Also found some space going forward. Did well.

Also probably the first specialist right back we've had at the club since.... er.... he was at the club??

First 1-0 win of the season tonight. Obviously I'd like us to win by more, but hopefully that's made the players realise that it is possible to score first and go on to win the game without any other goals being scored.
