Could efforts have been made (by the EFL not scunny) to have made options of using another ground where possible

They knew it would be a shortened season anyway, games affected by covid and games always postponed for bad weather, could they have asked teams to be flexible regarding fixtures.

Probably difficult but not unmanagable for someone to turn around and say scunthorpe's pitch isnt fit, but Donnys is fine so we will play there.

 

It’s called a MacLeod pitch cover. Don’t ask how I know that, but it’s the sort of shit that’s in my brain that means I can’t remember why I went in to the kitchen.

 

Not only that, but the 50s were 70 years ago

 

What I’m saying is, at the moment there is no investigation for postponing a game. If team A puts a cover on their pitch but team B doesn’t they get no issues its punishing clubs that do the right thing.
Im not saying if a pitch gets caught in a hurricane or a landslide fine them!

 

There are EFL rules that cover this and seem to imply what i was saying earlier is already in place. Still very vague though.

31 Penalty for Non-Fulfilment of Fixture Obligations

31.1 Any Club failing to fulfil its fixture obligations in respect of any match under the jurisdiction of The League on the appointed date or dates or causing The League to suspend any fixture shall be deemed guilty of misconduct, unless the circumstances giving rise to such failure are outside the control of the Club and could not have been reasonably foreseen or reasonably anticipated and remedied prior to the match.

Has it been called off yet? I'm assuming it's going to be off. Weather looks shocking.

 

Reckon we will set off around lunchtime so I’d expect a decision by then

If it was waterlogged as the recent pictures showed it must have frozen into the pitch as looking at those pictures the playing surface hasn't been covered.
Looking at this picture when their home game against Oldham was postponed they look to have covers.
