With our January record, which is around 3 points per month for the past 10 season - we need as many games postponing this month as possible ;)

Actually looks more like a 'super imposed' pic of Scunny stand over Blackpool tide.

I notice Grimsby have just being fined for our postponement. I.e. no social distancing etc. Or we don't quite have a squad and have some injuries so all of you, get in that room with this guy we know is positive

Given that neither Scunthorpe or City have a match scheduled for Tuesday, and that there are already five other games planned for that night, then this would seem to be an excellent opportunity to play this outstanding match.

If Spurs and Fulham can sort something out in 48 hrs I can’t see why city and Scunthorpe can’t

I said this on the Crawley thread. Harrogate and Exeter haven't wasted anytime rearranging for Tuesday night with their game off today and whilst we can't do the same with Crawley as they already have a game, Scunny don't. I see no reason why the game couldn't be brought forward and it would make perfect sense as would leave a Tue night free further down the line in case of further postponements.

Scunny play away today, cannot see them agreeing to anything until they know if they have come through unscathed - but if they do it is worth asking the question

Scunny is only a good hour away, would make perfect sense.

Well time to bounce this thread up the board. I guess that the first big question is, will the match go ahead. The weather over the next forty eight hours looks fairly unforgiving.

Id say its likely it’ll get postponed but clubs need to start getting fined. Its beyond a joke now.

i’m hopeful it goes ahead as it’ll be a good test for the managers. Seeing if they can bounce back from a defeat.

That's going to need a lot of work on it to make it playable plus the weather forecast is far from tropical.
    Good Luck required.

Fined for having bad weather in your area?, heard it all now.

Let's not forget we have had one home game postponed so far this season, even though pitch was playable.

I think ifollow will carry over (for those who purchased the first game) if I’m not mistaken. Let’s hope the game goes ahead this time.

I think it’s going to need to carry over again

If all that water freezes, its a hopeless situation for the groundsman.

Heavy snow forecast all today and tomorrow in Scunthorpe.
And it looks almost certain to freeze too, given they are forecast -1 temps in Scunthorpe overnight. Even if it thaws out in the morning (and that is a doubt given it is also forecast -1 on Tuesday) they'll be in no better situation when it all melts. Sadly, this game looks a goner, too :-(

You wonder in this day and age, why someone cannot devise covers which could be pegged over say quarter of the pitch with a domed frame, so the pitch could be protected. Something between a poly tent and a festival size marquee. A poly tunnel style would not only keep excessive rain off the pitch, but presumably would help the grass to grow.

If Scunny couldn't get the initial game on, just because of slightly sub-zero temperatures, no way is this going to be on.
