I was hoping for 13 myself.

 

We’ve lacked depth all season. T&S have done an excellent job, with very limited options. They do now have choice, in several areas. It’ll be interesting to see how they manage the good problem of having to make difficult choices, because of the options they now have.

 

I think Wood is a pretty impressive wing back. Get's forward well, quick and astute crossing. But...I don't think his defensive work is anywhere consistent enough. He too often gets out muscled or passed by from cleverer attacking players. AOC has generally played pretty well under T&S, but I still have doubts. I may be wrong, but the impression I've always had with him from arrival, is that he's playing for himself and not the team. So, yes, I wouldn't be unhappy if either or both left in the Summer.

Thats the pressure of being a manager. And they're going to be under more pressure now, because expectations are higher.

 

I think a grace period for the pair will occur. 8 unbeaten nothing to be sniffed at and inevitably, we will lose. The positives of T&S will come under scrutiny if we lose/fail to win a proportion of February's fixtures. Different mindset at the moment amongst fans and more forgiving, I would believe.

 

Tough week coming up with Exeter away, Scunthorpe who are now in great form like us away and Salford home. If we get 5 points from those 3 games it will be a good week.

 

Quite right Mr P but we are going to lose some games and we have to accept that. The last few weeks have spoilt us and raised our expectations but realistically and as Fordy puts it very reasonably(and yes I am in shock), we are looking at next season. If the season was starting now, us who were predicting a mid table finish would be talking top 7 minimum and I think our squad next season will be stronger bearing in mind, the science behind the January recruitment. Having said that, I haven't given up on this season and should we make the POs, we will go into them in a very strong state.

 

Does anyone know if we have only trained half the week because of the weather ? That could be a huge factor especially with the new players coming in.

 

Doubt we will be playing any games next week based on the weather forecast.

 

That's probably right, not only with us but for all of the other teams. Our facilities will be among the best in this division.

Hmm they’re ok but we still train at a school and if we want to think big we need our own training ground. I know that’s a pipe dream right now.

 

Interesting point KB. With that in mind, could that potentially change the mindset of T&S approaching this game, with a potential 'extended' break factoring in the relevant form of both teams together with Exeter injuries?

Are they saying it's in danger now? Last time I looked the North was predicted 'snow showers', in my head that meant 'a bit of snow', I was assuming the game would be on.

But these forecasts aren't very good a few days out. They're certainly saying there's a lot of snow coming to England.
